I love it how you lot are so far in denial. Aww bless.
He wants out guys. He's going to push for it. Take the ridiculous money and buy a replacement. He doesn't want to play for Kilppity anymore.
Well well well..
Apologies welcomed.

Oh, Eric, what a glorious day for you.
You've been on here every day GAGGING for this moment. Have you had to change your pants?
Sky Sports says he's handed in a transfer request,. Liverpool Echo says he hasn't, FSG say he's not for sale anyway.
It's so finely balanced, Eric, and it COULD go your way. It's SO close. Hang on to your armchair, and keep a change of pants handy.
I think I'll make that decision later Eric once I'm off this forum and back in the board room.

Can't wait for the anger stage
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Me neither
Can't wait. Gna be funny seeing all these Liverpool fans switch from coutinho being an overrated player from when reports surfaced about him handing in a transfer request in, back to being a world class player when bbc denied that he hadn't. They're all over the shop on this one

Thy should be use to selling their best players by now, surprised by the reactions.
I'm going nuts over here.

Although looks like I was right all along and you lot are the fools for knocking it back.
There is that...
Guardian running the story now, pretty much confirmed he submitted a request
Be interesting to see what the board do.
Of course he has. He's been refused a move of a lifetime to a team that could win everything next season quite easily.
None of the English teams would have been able to stop that, United and City included.
BBC now reporting it as a breaking update, rather than dismissing Skys update earlier.
Liverpool can still say no though, and make him stay another year surely?
It's going to be interesting, the manager, fans and board want to keep him but the player wants to go. Who has the real power in this situation?
Paul Joyce who is reliable has confirmed Coutinho wants out. Whether a transfer request has been handed in it's unclear.
All jokes aside you cannot blame Coutinho. The opportunity to play for Barcelona doesn't come around often and even if he is told he can go next season what happens if he does his cruciate or Barca sign an alternative to proves to be a success and Coutinho is no longer needed?
He has the opportunity to play with Suarez and the best player of all time in a team that almost guarantees trophies every season or stay at Liverpool where no wumming, are unlikely to win any major trophies.
Well after saying he won t rock the boat I wait for him to do an interview like sterling and Suarez did
I can't think of many precedents but FSG have cajones in the transfer department. At the very least I suspect they'll fleece Barca. Who knows they may make a stand. I know they were surprised about the lack of respect for transfers in football.
Suarez situation all over again
Although looks like I was right all along and you lot are the fools for knocking it back.

Yes, exactly! How EXCITING is that, after you've been on here every day laying the groundwork????
(I personally didn't "knock it back", but it doesn't have to apply to everyone to be EXCITING, does it?)
I'm SO pleased for you, Eric

Said earlier I could see Liverpool playing hardball and just flat out rejecting his request.
If he is of decent character as has been portrayed, then placating him by agreeing to let him go next summer depending on circumstances, a la Suarez.
Where's those GB and Firmino guys? i feel they'll be hurting the most from this current update.
I said about half hour ago I would no be surprised if he hands in request or has. But he did it by email
What next snap chat
Do the club really want an unhappy player on their hands?
Better to bite the bullet and get good money now, I know it's not ideal with the season starting tomorrow but if he wants out, better off getting someone who wants to play for the club
He's not that good, do you really care?
All jokes aside you cannot blame Coutinho. The opportunity to play for Barcelona doesn't come around often
=====================================================
No, wouldn't disagree with that.
A lot will depend on how he does it (if indeed he does).
Same as Ronaldo to Madrid....players covet these moves, especially south American or Iberian players, so it is what it is.

I love it.
Anything to keep your club off the top of the English game is okay with me and even though I don't think you'd win it with him the club, you're definitely weakened if he goes.
Next you'll be telling me you didn't care when Ronaldo left us or Fergie.
