I'm sure it's been more than 9 months since I last saw you.
Surely that's enough time for you to give birth to Giroud's child.

No that wasn't directed at you Dubs. Because I agree with you apart that I have never considered Giroud as completely rubbish. Its just that I have felt from a year after he joined that he doesn't suit our game and is a bottleneck to our counter attacking game because he lacks pace.
It was pointed at wb2 and anyone who is gloating. Giroud did what Giroud has done for the last year. Come on and be affective when the opposition is sitting back. I feel Giroud is good enough to start in a slower league. But what I always take offence to is when Giroud is suddenly promoted to starter that adversely affects our entire attacking schemes. It happened last season as well when Alexis was removed as striker and within a few games our entire attacking methodology went up in smoke.

The post was actually to the many people who still slate him and would gleefully see him told. I've always agreed with you that he doesn't suit how we play, that's why I argued for Theo's movement to go up top when they were the choices.
You're right he's only done what he's always been good at but you aren't part of the Giroud hater club. There's alot of posters on this board who argue he's not even good at that and not good enough for Arsenal, want him sold every window blah blah blah.
The post was meant to show my pleasure at the fact that it was Giroud, Mr Not Good Enough For Arsenal, according to some, who had yet again come up with the winner. If he'd come on and not scored, you can bet there'd be posts up about how the donkey couldn't do anything when he came on. I thought it only fitting that I post to point out to the haters that he had saved their result AGAIN!
Technically, he isn't really good enough. Good enough to start.
Gillespie got where I was coming from. You don't even have to like Giroud much to see the humorous element of every goal he scores just because he gets so much hate off a particular section of Gooners.

Always just girouds fault

Yeah and have you also noticed the way it's never Sanchez's fault
I wouldn't say he's not good enough Dubbed. Just because of the type of striker he is and how we play. He's just the wrong type of striker to start for us. We need one who is quick and mobile.
"Technically you're an idiot and in reality you are."
Is Giroud your dad? Why are you so touchy when it comes to him.
Freaking weirdo.
Shoo. On your way now, chimpy.

I am not touchy but the way he is disrespected for what he is doing I have to defend it.
WB2, dont agree with you. He has adapted to our game. He gives us just other options of the game. He is different not worse than our current strikers. You like more the mobile type of striker though its obvious. Appreciate at least you know that OG is a decent enough striker to play and to start for Arsenal.

He only adapted effectively with Rosicky Wilshere and Ramsey playing behind him. That particular 3 seemed to compliment Giroud in how they played. Their movement and runs negated his lack of pace and it was his link up play within that quartet which led to their goals as opposed to him scoring. Some of the best goals we've seen scored incidentally. He can manage with other players but only that 3 made the team look as though Girouds lack of pace was no problem.
My personal wish is for him to super sub it all season. Starting him in our setup just gets him fatigued And he stops scoring. Whereas it's fast beginning to look like he can't help but score coming off the bench. Seems a sound enough reason to bring him off the bench for all 38 games. Hey if it ain't broke, then don't fix it
He generally stops scoring when we have no wide players who can actually cross or pass or when we have an unbalanced midfield.
Haters and their 1 star protests. You can bet they are the ones who were fuming when he scored. They'd rather have drawn so they could slate him for missing
I always thought he was just 'okay',and I gave him stick when he would miss 3/4 good chances.
But, I have to admit he has won me over.
He has improved, worked hard on his game and taken the benching and incoming replacement very well.
He is 100% loyal and will work hard for the cause, even if it means sitting out entire games at times.
Fair play to the guy, he has a new fan.
