Mourinho was not ruthless for us, kept playing matic, ivanovic and fabregas despite being terrible for months for us...
Mate he's played 1.5 games of competitive football since February, he needs a bit of time to get back to full pace in a game.
He's still our best midfielder and we saw him play the deepest role brilliantly at times last season, he will start on Sat I'm sure.
Who would you replace him with? Milner? I'd say it's worth persisting with Henderson till he gets back up to full speed, he's your club captain and it's not like you've got someone crying out to replace him in the side.
After watching the game last night, I can't say Henderson stood out to me as particularly bad.
Lovren though is a donkey and Moreno a pub league defender.
Going forward I love watching Liverpool but they still need 3/4 players to be valid contenders.
Can, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Milner and Grujic (the little I have seen of him) are all good players but not one of them a stand out.
Would love to see what Liverpool could do with Robertson in the team, Lovren replaced with top quality, a top midfielder and a reliable keeper over the course of a season
He is definitely off the pace right now but that is because he is not match fit and the only way to get match fit is to play in matched.
I was really frustrated with him last night but he is the only thing close to a leader that we have in our starting 11 so we need him.

Hope to see Robertson on Saturday, Moreno just hasn't got the positional sense on the pitch to be a good defender in a back 4, but I also don't think Klopp helps him with the instructions he's given, he must be told to be so high up the pitch, if he wasn't Klopp would be roaring at him to get back.
But Moreno is mad when the ball goes in the air, it's like he doesn't realize it can go in the air and then travel into the space behind him
I think our midfield has been poor last two games, but reading Klopp’s comments after last night, and watching them last night it's like Klopp has told them not to press so aggressively which is annoying as we do our best work turning the ball over in midfield, really want to see more intensity from the starting, 3, we miss Lallana both creatively and also he is usually forcing the press. Can see why Klopp wants Keita for his energy and also excellent distribution.
We're slowly getting there, but the tempo, especially in the first half is a concern, we need to start games faster but this was also an issue last season.
I agree it seems as though the instructions are to get high up but he's always so much worse than whoever is on the right side so a lot of it comes down to himself. Hopefully Robertson will be able to make that spot his own, he should have a fair amount more experience going backwards having played for Hull
Salah and Mane are going to be a joy to watch this season, looking forward to seeing plenty more of those 2.
Also it wasn't mentioned in commentary but that pass from Firmino to Milner for the goal was top class

How much time does Henderson need to get back to full fitness? Why we make this excuse of not fully recovered from his injury to Henderson only. Most of our players been injured. His poor form is not for the last two games but going back since Suarez departure, apart from the Spurs and WBA where he was good and that was the year before last year. Replace him with Grujic and move Can or Wij to Henderson position.
We are missing Lallana badly. He does the pressing from midfield. Hendo is not a presser and it showed last night and he is not agile enough and gets turned easily as he is flat footed.

I hate to say it but I don't think Hendo is good enough. I can't see him regaining hit fitness and keeping it. I think Klopp wanted to replace him with Keita.

He is not a midfield general and we have lacked that since Gerrard left. I actually said that kieta was more important a signing than VVD is for us. we need a leader in the middle who can take the game under control and dictate

I think he has to prove his fitness. When fit and match sharp he has already proved he is an important player for us.
The midfield worries a bit. Hendo looks to be on the verge of an injury all the time, Coutinho & Can could be off. Lallana has had 3 fairly lengthy injuries in the past 12 months, twice for England. Throw in Lucas going + Grujic unproven as yet and it don't look great.

Henderson will be fine and will start against Palace I'm sure. He's the least of our problems. We just won away against a team that's not lost there in over a year. High pressure game too.

My point has never been that you aren't entertaining. I actually like Klopp's approach to the PL, I don't think it guarentees success but is certainly entertaining.
If you had signed Nabil Keita (assuming he is as good as reports say) I think you will find your team exponentially better than if you signed VVD.
