Yeah we got bullied today, the frustrating thing of course is that we knew that would happen. Uncharacteristic errors, too many loose passes and to be fair some strong attacking play from Cardiff led to our downfall. Ref was shocking but we can't be looking there for excuses.
Just about shaken off the hangover in time go out and repeat the mistakes of last night. Wonder which D list celeb I'll be drinking with tonight
Goldi who who who, tell us?!!!
Paul Daniels? Les Dennis? Halfy the thread master?
And yep, no excuses, despite being a little bit bullied we could easily have won the game.
Bottled it. No fight.
But that's enough about HM's title challenge.

One game, and lost to a side that was top. If we lose a few, and all teams do (apart from Celtic), then you'd expect the games against the top sides to be amongst those defeats. It will be interesting to see how long Cardiff and Ipswich can maintain their form. Mendez-Laing suddenly looks like quite a player, and at Ipswich, I think they had a steal taking on Joe Garner. I expect to see him move on one day for a tidy profit. Mick, still the magician it seems.
How goes it tino, I imagine you are disappointed like a majority of us here are.
Always disappointed when we lose, but hopefully Nuno and the new players will have learned from this game. It's one thing predicting how it may go, but with so many players not used to that kind of football, I'm not surprised that they came off second best.
We also have to have a plan B, if things aren't going according to plan. I like the 3-4-3 set up, but we have to be able to changes styles should the need arise.
Having said all that, I'm sure if we would all have accepted 9 points and 3rd in the league after the first 4 games.
At least my local club when growing up, are top of the league, Sutton United.

Only thing left today is to find out which d Lister goldi is hanging with.
I think today was a wake up call for a few players that have generally played for bigger clubs and got the referee decisions.
Gonna have to just roll their sleeves up

Yep. Sounds as though Saiss reverted to the player we had last season. Maybe it's something about playing at home. Our fans are a strong force, but not intimidating - at least not to our own side I would hope. Playing at home has not always been easy, whereas it should be where we are most comfortable. Funny ol' game, Saint.
I'm not to disappointed. The ref was rubbish and the way Cardiff would feign injuries when we had possession,
time waste, foul off the ball etc. I'm just glad that's not the Wolves way. They was lucky to still have 11 players at the end, however their centre forward was decent and strong. Why some people are having a go at Saiss I don't understand? Miranda and Boly at fault for the goals.

It's the rule of cinci Wrekin, said I rate him so therefore......you know the rest.
His poorest game of the season today but you could say that about just about all of them to be honest and for my money he was the best player overall across the first three games.
Can't decide whether Ruddy is the problem with crosses and not commanding the box enough but some of the clearance efforts are comical and I mentioned the other day that I wondered if Batth may have been better equipped for this one.

I think Nuno's comments are sound. To have the ball out of play for so long is not the beautiful game. Unfortunately having watched this crap for so long in the championship some fans think its normal and justified. They also think its ok to spoil a game of football to get a win because that's the Championship.
Ha yeah, my personal view is that the championship is generally an awful spectacle and it always tickles me when some suggest players or managers being out of their depth in it.
That was not a normal championship game by any stretch of the imagination and we won't see anything like that again all season, unless Warnock changes clubs. I haven't seen so many fouls off the ball since the bad old days of Italian football was in evidence at Molineux in the old Anglo-Italian Cup
Despite their cynical approach no doubt Cardiff deserved their win and Warnock won the tactical battle against Nuno. Their three forwards pushed up on our three defenders and didn't allow us to play the ball out of defence. When they realised Miranda was vulnerable Zohore edged to the left and gave him a roasting. Then when we took Douglas off to bring in another attacker Zohore moved over to the right with Mendez Laing and they took us apart on that side
It seems we didn't have a plan B to adapt too, although being at home I think that gives us reason for concern !
However, early days and as you say, not every game will be like that and I believe we'll win more games than we'll lose under NES....yes ?
Good points about their forward line DJ. However I don't think that was Colin's tactical ability, just a very good centre forward reading the game. I also feel Nuno will be a better manager after that and if the Ref wasn't a push over we would not have lost that game. At one point he shuck hands with one of there players during the game and they was in his ear through out.
I think the warnock tactical genius thing is being well over played to be honest, yeah they got up to some antics and yeah they tried to kill the clock all second half but once they scored we took control and when we equalised it looked as though only one side was going to go on and win that game and then we got sucker punched entirely against the run of play and had the stuffing knocked out of us.
Any talk of needing to change things is a little premature as well, we have just beaten two sides better than Cardiff and one on a par with them and I would be amazed if we don't finish above them.
