Edwards clearly made a difference, staying on for the full 90 minutes. In a way it is important that we have such a superb squad, including international players, that are waiting in the wings to be called upon.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Good to see his injury mysteriously cleared up fast as well.
Still not too old to learn so that's a good thing, looks like he may have finally got to grips with what is required in midfield after a few pretty abysmal performances.
Flatt a bit at fault for the first goal tho
Wolves on next after the adverts
Anyone doing a live draw thread ? Or shall we stick to this one ?

Highlights
Sounds like Vinagre and Ronan earning the biggest plaudits.
Deslandes did well also apparently.
They then show Newcastle v Forest, teasing the mighty Wolves, we are obviously their big ticket.
With the U23s, we've done the double over Southampton in 24 hours

Edwards MOTM. Keeper had a very good game, as well.

Just watched the highlights. Soton made around 5 changes, Wolves made 11. Outstanding performance. Very proud. That'll give Nuno food for thought.
Must be nice to be at home watching the highlights. I'm still on this fooking train 🚂
What comes first, the draw for the next round or that train arriving at its destination?
Hopefully not tempting fate, but reckon I could be home before the draw

Wilson scored in both games but it was more like 48 hours
Have we still won? Went to bed thinking we beat a Prem side with our reserves, but clearly a dream.
Bristol Rovers in next round - at home. Formality.
Beat Bristol and we are in the last 16 and the chances then of an attractive tie or even moving to where Wembley is in sight. It's a result last night that keeps the positive vibes going after the first defeat of the season at the weekend and shows there is much more strength in depth in our squad now. Most of the players we used last night would walk into the first teams of most championship clubs.

Some high scores on the E&S player assessments. Makes pleasing reading.
Batth complimented on his "Stearman-esque skills"!
Better than Stearman being complimented on his Batth-time skills, I suppose.
Reading that Nuno is the first Wolves manager to win his first three away games since 1888

Are we not included pre season friendlies? Perton included pre season friendlies when he was talking about winning three home games in a row. By those rules, Nuno lost his first away game against FK Jablonec.
I prefer to only consider competitive games though, as they are the only ones that matter. Winning three competitive away games on the bounce is good going. Lets make it four against Brentford.
I think we played a few behind closed door games as well in pre season. Don't know if those should count
Seems that Kortney Hause has caused a bit of a stir on Merseyside by tweeting that he thinks Jordan Henderson is a better player than Steven Gerrard was
