I love when Arsenal get results like this. The Arsenal fans come out with the most ridiculous things ever
my point exactly, we were poor. 5*
up urs bubbly.
I agree Verm!
We need wilshere back in midfield, would make a massive difference
we cant keep complaining about difficult teams, we should be the difficult team, we've sunk from comparing ourselves with Barca to Struggling with Swanea
i think a change of tactics might hep
-----------------------Szczesny
Sagna-----Per-------Vermaelen -----Santos
----------------------Song
----------Arteta-----------Wilshere
-------------------Benayoun
-------Walcott-----------Van Persie
Our passing game will never work with this bunch of players, with Theo and Gervinho both starting we need to become much more direct and abandon trying to play intricate passes as thats not their game.
Our passing game was successful when we had the likes of Hleb, Nasri, Cesc etc players capable of retaining the ball under great pressure.
its still early days mate. our new look midfield has only been together for one match prior to this, so give them a break. with ramsey coming back and then eventually wilshere, we'll pick it up.
So if you held onto the 3 points your point of view would have been completely different wouldn't it? Correct me if I'm wrong but you've got a lot of players still injured I believe. Given time the your team will pull through, but may not achieve as much replacing Fabregas and Nasri with Arteta and Benayoun isn't that great is it?
Good luck.
YOU CAN'T KEEP THE BALL IF YOUR SHORT OF CONFIDENT, THEY HAVE ONLY STARTED PLAYING WITH EACH OTHER AND 3 OR 4 GAMES IN WE CAN'T KEEP THE BALL?
UNBELIEVABLE
You are 100% right our passing has been atrocious.

Read our match thread and you'll see most of the people commenting agree with the OP even when we were 1 - 0 up we were complaining about not being able to hold onto the ball. Arsenal supporters are not like Liverpool supporters we don't have knee jerk reactions or change out views based on the result
Good luck trying to get 5th
VermPersie, another typical clueless comment. Coming into a new team doesn't mean you start passing like a headless chicken (benayoun).
Mata has just come in to the chelsea team, he doesn't seem to be having problems after 'just playing with players for 3 or 4 games.'
Neither does Cesc at Barca or Cleverly at united, who is having his first proper season at United.
Pathetic
Where did the good passing game get us of late, time for a change leave it to those have the skills to play the passing game.Tippy tap football got us nowhere, time for change is now.
the reason for it op is because we made so many changes to the squad at the end of the window. in midfield alone we had two players who were making only their second showing in arsenal colours.
which AGAIN raises the question - why weren't players signed earlier? this moulding process should be taking place over pre-season, not in the opening champions' league fixture.
Arsenal are a more direct team now, people complained about passing too much and getting nowhere.
This is from someone that just claimed that Benayouns passing rate would be less than 10%
Tippy tap football got us nowhere, time for change is now.

And we would have gotten where without it?
Whats wrong with Theo guys?Apart from the assist he was below par.As for Chamack less said the better.
Hate the fact everyone is saying 'tippy-tappy football got us nowhere'. It DID. Tippy-tappy football was great, just needed good defending to back it up and a fit van persie. Now we have a good defence plus van persie, but no tippy tappy football

when you play in a team like arsenal, who play such intricate passing formations, it takes getting used to. look at wilshere when he plays for england - he passes in diagonals and triangles, and everybody else passes in straight lines. for players like benayoun and gervinho, it's a bit of a culture shock. arteta isn't as overwhelmed by it, having been barca schooled, but arsenal fans take it for granted how much training is applied to passing formations.
"17 - Arsenal have now failed to keep a clean sheet in their last 17 Champions League games away from home. Sieve."
Makes you appreciate the defence man utd have. Man utd didn't concede any goals away from home in europe last season in the 6 away games we played. That included the likes of schalke 04 chelsea marseille all strong at home.
Koscielny proof readers, a class player would fit into any system without troubles. Ok, maybe we shouldn't expect benayoun to be on fire, but if you've been signed by arsenal, you should be able to complete at least half of the passes you attempt!!
he completed 69% stop talking garbage

but we haven't signed world-class players. so i really don't know what you're expecting there. as i already said, it's a culture shock - you could put a player like carrick into arsenal's team right now - carrick's only attribute is his pass completion rate - and he would struggle because of the level of preparation that goes into the passing patterns. it's not something you learn overnight, and it will take some getting used to. as you say, the 'tippy-tappy' style did gain us some success over the years - to accomodate much-needed new players requires a bedding-in process, unless we drop the 'tippy-tappy' stuff altogether. so i don't know what you're complaining about.
It's just that our movement has been awful since March which begs the question what has Wenger been doing in training.

We are no longer a good passing side.
