I'm just not sure who would be mad enough to take the job, if and when Megson goes.

Unless there is an outstanding replacement there is no point in even thinking about getting rid of Megson at this stage.

TBH I think even Ferguson Snr would come in and struggle with us. This club has had every chance in the last 6-8 months to pull itself together and-it-just-does-not-want-to!!

I'm pretty much at the point where I don't much care anymore.

That said we are a MASSSSSSSIVE club and should be in the Prem!!!

Mark Robins! Oh yes - go ahead please. What exactly did he do for us Dingles? Come on you massive club that should be in the Premiership but actually are in League One and on the end of a thrashing to a non-league outfit - surely you can afford better than suck in the cheeks hamster Robins?

trueblue

Wind your neck in eh? Who are we going to get instead of Megson? And weren't you the one telling me to stop moaning after Charlton?

Knee-jerk nonsense. If we win on Saturday you'll be shouting from the rooftops again no doubt.

What's the point of Megson leaving? Mandaric hasn't exactly splashed out in the transfer window, what makes you think he's going to attract a 'Big Jack' messiah to liven up the club and get us promoted?

Its not knee Jerk at all !

Are we where we want to be ?? No.
Are things getting better ?? No.
Can we win the league with this team ?? No.
Are we being entertained ?? No.
Do we think Megson can turn it round ?? IMO No.

Get rid now - give the new man a chance !

Its not a knee jerk to be fair, no Chairman should accept last nights despicable showing and ultimatly its the manager who is responsible for team selection, keeping up team morale & tactics that the players HAVE to play to and follow!!!

For me its Meggy who was at fault last night, he's not gee'd the players up has he obviously and despite the 442 formation he obviously got them to sit back and defend...and look where that got us

trueblue, I think you do Stevenage a dis-service mate. They did play well last night. You can't take history into account, both clubs have personnel who deserve to be in league one right now, the history of the clubs is meaningless.

Having said that Wednesday were truly dreadful in the first half last night. Virtually no cohesive attacking play, no possession and very limp when defending. Stevenage were allowed to play and did so well cutting holes through the limp attempts to win the ball back in midfield and testing the nervous looking defence with shots and crosses galore.

We're four points off the top of the league after 8 games.

It all depends where we go from here.

Until last night I was prepared to give GM the benefit of the doubt.. even though I disagreed wholeheartedly with him hanging on to players like JOC and JJ and queried his team selections and tactics away from home. I'm afraid I've lost all confidence in him now. We can't afford to wait until Christmas because that's what we did last year and it didn't work. He needs to go now.
