City definetly over paid for mendy, his estimated fee looks low to me tho. I don't think Chamberlain's fee should be higher than his.
Matic may win United the league.
Like he did with Mourinho's last title winning team.
Not many of his type around.
"A study"? Sounds like a couple of blokes in the pub talking about transfers, both agreed unsurprisingly that prices are 'bonkers'.

Yes. you overpaid. But if he keeps his form, he could be key in your title challenge.
Problem with Nemanja is, when his head goes down that is it.
He was brilliant for us until he got sent off v Burnley in early 2015 but just couldn't reach that level again

how can you already tell if someone is a rip off 3 games into the season? what if matic was to bang in 2 goals in a cup final at the end of the year? is he still a rip off??
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The study has evaluated their price at point of purchase.
A player may be overpriced when you buy him, even if he becomes a better player and worth more money during the season.
I think the players valuation are mainly based on the contract length. For example Matic had only two years left in his contract, hence why Matic is considered as overpriced. The same applies to OX and maybe Zappacosta
There was an article on this yesterday. http://bit.ly/2eFkkV0
As I said on that thread, take these reports / studies with a pinch of salt. These same idiots said Lovren was the 8th best CB & Milner was the 4th best LB not just in the PL but in the whole of EUROPE.
For example John Stones was never worth £48m, but because he was young prospect and locked on long contract Everton the gor what they wanted from him.
Coutinho is another case in point. Last season he signed a new 5 year contract, also being an invaluable key member of Pool and Barca desperation to sign him drove his price to the new hight of inflation.
Anyway players are worth what the clubs are prepared to pay for them

Salah?
The problem with studies like this is market value and a player's value to each respective club are two different things. Matic is a perfect example :
To us, his value was considerably lower than 40mil. His age, performance levels and length of contract all contribute to that.
To United, his value is slightly higher due to their manager's tactics combined with a need to allow a 90mil pound investment more freedom to influence games (i.e. help pay back that investment).
To Mourinho, 40mil is very close to his value. Being a short termist manager pushes his age out of the argument + he knows the player and how to utilize him. If he plays a pivotal role in United winning the title this season he's the biggest winner.

Agree. He already spent £90m on Pogba, £40m more to get him started!
Devil Man U won't win the title this season anyway and Matic is not overpriced.
another Roma player valued at 54m Rudiger
its hard to take seriously when you see maguire valued at 3m euro and Sakho 5m

Cech is Arsenals best keeper in over a decade, we sold him to them as we appreciate what our players do for us and dont just discard them, same with Matic. Cech has not transformed Arsenal into a title winning side.
By the same reasoning if Arsenal win the league this year it must have been Chamberlain holding them back not Wenger
