Kohli is amazing but I won't say yet that he is better than Tendulkar.
Main reason the quality of bowlers now compared to in the past. Rules have been changed so much in batsmen's favor. Also don't forget cricket bats too. I can add many more but these are enough for now!
Fact that. I think back then I remember batsman were struggli to average more than 40s, these days I think most batsman are hitting the mid 40s and it's more like the the mid 55 is probably the equivalent of mid 40s in those years time.
Yeah Viru.. Also folks who remember Sir Viv. Richards mind blowing batting in ODIs and tests. I think he was ahead of his time in regards to strike rate.. Imagine if he was around nowadays.. My Uncle told me that he would create a havoc all the time with such weak bowlers!
I don't think he's better then Tendulkar yet, but you never know he could surpass him, still plenty of years left for him. I do think currently he's the best batsmen in the world. The likes of Smith, Amla, AVB, Root, Williamson are right up there but for me Kohli edges it.
Kohli will end up being better than Tendulkar in limited overs cricket, but in tests, Tendulkar will always be better
Kohli needs to win a world cup like Sachin did. Yes I know Kohli was also in the team when India won it last time but that team was Sachin inspired.
Let him finish his career then decide.
Sachin was a great Test batsman, far ahead of Kohli, but in ODI he failed in both World Cup Finals he played in. Made 85 in the semi and was dropped numerous times by pathetic Pak fielders, he gave his wicket away in 1996 SF and his other SF in 2003 was against Kenya, so how is his World Cup pedigree any better than Kohli. Yes, Tendu scored millions of runs in World Cups vs Kenya, Namibia, Bangladesh and overrated England attacks but what about the rest?
Kohli will definitely end up the better ODI player.
But I agree with fact taker that bowling was much better in Tendulkar's era especially in the 90s.
In a cricketers career the world cup amounts to a tiny proportion of ODI's. Its a bit harsh to judge a players career based on this.
I do feel stats provide a guideline but saying a player is the worlds greatest, I feel, is rather subjective. For me, Tendulkar is a better batsman in both forms of the game than Kohli. (I'm not even considering 20\20's as part of this)
Saeed Anwar was a better player than Virat Kohli.
Imo Kohli is better than Sachin in ODIs. He's just a run machine in that format home and away.
Funniest thing about the whole game was that Kohli called heads in toss.
The toss result was tails.
But India still won the toss somehow....

Watch reaction of match referee after he clearly calls tails..

Same old story with our useless & fake professor. Anyways referee meant heads and u have to listen carefully as he got an accent.
If that was not the case then what was Upul Tharanga doing? Just doesn't make sense with Lala's analysis.
Hope he is able to handle the truth and not run to mods for no reason!
Fact taker I was talking about Saeed Anwar being a better player than Kohli.I am not fake and I am a professor.
At present Kohli is the best batsman but Tendulkar is just another level.

Some interesting posts!
Sachin did face some better bowlers, but averages 10 runs less, which is a fair bit. Cricket should not be gauged on stats, but it's an indication at least.
Anwar was a fine player also. Pakistan's greatest ODI bat?
