Great result. We look a top side.
Side note: New Orleans is fantastic.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
not when i was there.
a high degree of racial tension and crime particularly gun crime.
a few over commercialised streets around basin street but the great majority of the city grubby and threatening.
^
you'd have sh!t yourself if you'd have been with us
Nazon has only really featured in his last two or three games. Didn't play much when he first arrived at Coventry.
Just looked and we have 19 players out on loan from all levels. As Michael Caine would say..."Not many people know that".
Must say, I have to agree with Wolfgang re New Orleans. Been there a couple of times and highly over-rated. Wouldn't go back.
I can see bòth sides of the story re New Orleans. As a music lover, the jazz and blues bars around Bourbon Street are great and Peservation Hall is a fabulous piece of musical history.
But it is one of those American cities where you can take a short walk and suddenly find yourself in an area where you feel far from comfortable
Interesting reading the reports from the many fans at the game yesterday from the various sites.
Jota again the stand out but also surprising to again see Saiss given more praise than Neves which is becoming a theme it seems, either way both have been quite superb as a unit so far this term.
Sounds like it was probably our poorest overall display and yet we still won the game and by all accounts and had room to spare which is very encouraging.
Did the clocks change for you guys last night?

I absolutely love the music and atmosphere around the French quarter. Anywhere you can buy a gallon of Long Island Ice Tea to drink on the street is fine by me. Me and the Mrs danced our way down Bourbon Street behind a marching band last night, each with a cocktail in our hands.
I guess if you just came here to walk around, I can see why it wouldn't appeal. It is quite sad when you see the poor and homeless around. I wouldn't say I have felt anymore unsafe than I do in any major city though if you take a wrong turn.

You obviously did go back if you have been a couple of times.
Tend to agree tam, many many cities have crappy areas fairly close to the center where you wouldn't opt to walk toward.
Have to say that I am impressed with New York these days, has done an excellent job of cleaning itself up, have spent time in the Bronx and Harlem and walking neighbourhoods close by and it is now a pleasure.
It was a holiday where we got around America by delivering cars.
we booked into this small hotel close to where we delivered this car about 6 p.m. on a Saturday. Smartened ourselves up and then asked the receptionist to get us a taxi. the receptionist said the Taxis don't come out here but there is a bus that picks up outside that will take you to about two miles away from the French Quarter . he advised it that it was dangerous and not to go. no way were we going to miss New Orleans on a Saturday night so we decided to catch the bus . we got on the bus and from the reception we got you could tell that no white person had caught that bus in probably the previous 50 years . got off the bus the other end and started to walk accompanied by various intimidated comments like burn whitey burn. walked by this shop that had a police car outside. looked through the window and there were two bodies lying on the floor of the shop . one of the police asked us where we were going we said the French Quarter and he said you'll be lucky if you make it and
to wait with him and they would take us down in their car when they had finished. The French Quarter was great but the whole thing is not an experience I want to repeat.

Feck me, when was this 1970s or 1980s?
A great cheap way to get round America. Auto driveaway the company we used, still going as far as I know.
Clever idea as it goes.
But the states is nowhere near that dangerous these days that's for sure.
