There's no telling what that utd fan would have won.

Fans don't usually win anything...(apart from Spot The Ball)

i dont believe they would have won the european cup before celtic
..............
United would have won it the year of the crash IMO.
I think too many people get there knickers in a twist over munich at times.
IFUNo was pretty respectful and gave an opinion and was wrongly lambasted for it which is a shame.
would we have won more... who knows, I'd like to think so given the players we had.
many also think that England would have won the world cup before 66 too had the babes not died.
My friend has a copy of the program from their first game at OT after the crash - his dad was a United fan and went to the game. Duncan Edwards was still alive and the program requested fans to pray for him. Overwhelmingly sad.
I watched the Babes between the ages of 7 and 12, and only occasionally the first two years, so I am no expert.
At the time of the crash we were the best team in England, and I am sure would have gone on to win more titles.
However the European cup is different, firstly Real were the best team around then, and by a distance. Mind you we were developing as they were starting to age.
Still, cup compteitions are more difficult to predict, and though I think we would probably have done so,it is by no means sure;
On another note Celtics achievement is under valued, in England at least. All there players were local, they played with a buccaneering spirit, and Jock was a great manager, and a nice man as well.
Can't believe people are getting abusive over a hypothetical scenario. What's wrong with you people?
The Munich air disaster are a big part of what the club is today. The whole country got behind the club after the incident, anybody can relate to such a tragedy.
If it hadn't happened we may not be the huge club we are today. Not that I wouldnt swap it all never to have happened.
It's such a shame so many young, talented individuals had their lives taken away with everything left to give. I can't imagine the pain people like Busby and Charlton had to go through all these years.

In all likelihood the Busby Babes may not have won multiple titles. I remember that fine team, but football back then was very, very competitive in the top division. There was no team able to dominate for more than two or three years,if that. Even the great Spurs side of the early 60s only put one title on the table.

United nearly won it again in 1969 if it wasn't for a very dodgy goal line decision against Denis Law in the semi final leg at Old Trafford (against the team that eliminated Celtic in an earlier round).
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Celtic lost to Kiev and Utd lost to Real (no corupt seeding in those days).
----------------------------------------------------------------------
you went out to kiev 1st round and we beat Real in the semis... the year we won it
if you know your history n all that...
the year after Milan put us both out
