Depends on how much time you have. Getting out of those car parks at the end of the game are a nightmare.
If you are ok to spend time in the boozer both before and after the game then they are a good option but i would not recommend them if you need to get off quick or cant arrive early.
One option would be to drop him off at Billys/Peacock and go park the car yourself, and then pick him up after. Cuts out any car parking costs and you get the exercise.
Traffic around the ground both before and after is pretty awful now attendances are up so i am personally going to the shop after the game and strolling up Beeston Hill slowly to allow it to disperse as i cant stomach sitting in jams.
Arrive early, drop him off at the peacock, then park near the traffic lights at the bottom of the hill in one of the industrial unit car parks for a fiver, that way you get back on the road easily and quickly provided he's okay to walk down the hill after the game
"And was then going to take him to Billy’s Bar, assuming it’s open to anyone/not members only?"
Not a member, I simply walked in after Birmingham and Ipswich games.
Cheers guys,
I’ve got all the time I need, and he’s paying the parking cost, so....
... am guessing that if I get there to the car park for 1pm I’d probably get a space, but 1.30pm might be cutting it too fine. ?
... and killing an hour after the game in the shop/pub means we’d get away from the car park quite easily then?
Shop closes an hour or so after the game.
Be prepared for your car to be up on bricks they're thieving little gi.ts up there!
If you spend a short amount of time in shop and/or pub afterwards it will ok. I travel from Essex, where about are you?

Billericay. You?
I used to travel up from Chelmsford on a fairly regular basis, probably same route as you M11, A1, M62, M621.
Have tried different parking places, but for me the easiest is the car park next to the West stand (£5-6) Went to Port Vale and Preston this season and parked there again. Nice and flat and only one set of steps and your at the ground. After the Preston game I went into the shop and then back to the car I reckon I could have left fairly easily at about 5.30, but was happy sat in the car with a snack and coffee listening to BBC radio Leeds, so left at 6.00 with no traffic on Elland road at all. Just wished we had managed to beat Preston
Oh and if you want a really good start to the day there is a great roadside cafe right by the side of the A1 at Colsterworth. It's just south of Grantham, so it's about half way,
One of the best fry ups I've ever had.
Here's hoping to a change of fortunes after the last couple of games. Have a good trip
If you Leave a couple of minutes before the end you will get out of the club car parks no problem,
But you run the risk of not seeing any last minute goals...

Been watching Leeds since 1969 and have NEVER left before the final whistle....and never will.
Billy's is easy to get in these days. Be careful buying though. I paid £6 for a pint and a half then noticed the sign saying two pints for £6.
Gutted Yorkshireman
Also we park behind the West Stand which is £6 and easy access. However it's a nightmare getting out. Go for another drink after or take a flask and leave it in the car.
Enjoy!
Cheers guys. All helpful.
My tickets arrived today ..free through Sky VIP, in L39 East Stand Upper.
Surprised to see that we also got match-day hospitality meal and free programme in the Allan Clarke Executive Suite, Centenary Pavillion. Wow!
Only thing that’s strange is that I can’t see any mention of the Clarke Suite anywhere on google, never mind the LUFC website !?!?

Do these people leave before the end of movies also?
I don't understand this mentality unless there is a big goal difference, which you obviously cannot plan beforehand.
Salonika, I live in Southend so not too far away.
