Chuffed to bits with result- Great finish. Danny Mcguire and Rob Burrow will be missed.

Haha that as well but I mean rhino fans I've never done the research but I'm sure the attendance at headingley increased when attendances at Elland Road decreased. I'm sure I will get stick but if you want to sing marching on together or we are Leeds you do it watching a round ball!

Not me.. I think it’s great - one great city.

Superb performance.
Really enjoy watching the Rhinos.

All Leeds aren't we all Leeds aren't we what more can you say 😊

VOF- I couldn't put it better myself. One city, with the fans singing the same songs to support whichever team is representing the city!

Vof, I like that city anthem...

They dont use the verse's just the chorus. Would be better if they did a remake with some a rugby chorus or two now.

What has sweet caroline got to do with Castleford. Ive been drinking there many a time and all ive never ever seen a sweet anything!

Haven't some of you realised that some Cas fans are Leeds United fans also ?.

Pity the football team can't thump they're tiny neighbours. Doncaster, Barnsley, Sheffield Utd, Hudds etc.

posted on 8/10/17

Trouble is Shaun. The tiny neighbors thumped the might Rhinos four times out of five, and beaten them in their last eight meetings, the Rhinos were the best side last night but Cas are on the up and Leeds have to rebuild. Cas got it wrong last night, but it will be back to business next season from a club that nearly folded four years ago to doing what all the fans thought impossible....League leaders by ten points, club of the year, coach of the year, and man of steel award. And played some of the best rugby seen this season by far.

Don’t follow rugby at all, just can’t gwt into it.

Didn’t Cas walk the league though?

Don’t see what purpose this trophy serves if I’m honest, it just seems to be a glorified charity shield if you ask me

No one remembers the league winners, everyone remembers the grand final winners

And it that department Leeds are the greatest

How many were there that support Leeds in Football and Rugby?..

They'll have a lot to do with the singing, and more than likely in both stadiums!..

There's a Boxer that has one sung at his fights as well, does that count?..

geldered. I bet you anything that when it's mentioned the final Leeds won, was the year Cas Tigers set the league on fire with some of the best football played. They were so good they beat the champions four times and won the league by ten points. Had the leading try scorer, club of the year, coach of the year, man of steal. They will remember the little town that was all but finished four years ago began and built a team of good rugby. In fact it's already being asked by non rugby league fans "how does that work after one game". And credit to the Rhino's they did what they needed to do on the night, and Cas didn't turn up.

to be honest i had forgotten all this already.

i just remember two legends lifting the trophy for their 8TH title win

ahhhh yes i remember some mutant scroat with a beard strutting around like he was some sort of god.........man of tin luke gale. tinpot player for a tinpot club. they should have hung on a week and given it to joel moon

Somebodies talking the typical gracious Leeds Rhinos talk. I bet you've forgotten the four losses previous....Being a Leeds United fan but coming from Cas, I wondered why so many hate Leeds. You've just reminded me...Talking and trying to convince some stewards in the Stretford End last night that hated us Leeds fans, we were not arrogant and up ourselves etc....well, all I can say is,maybe they were right.

Kev ........... I'm a fan of the sport more than any particular team. I tend to watch for the results from Leeds or Wakey (as I played some junior games for them many, many years ago) ... but in the main I watch because I find the sport entertaining and down to earth, so I can relate to it.

Cas vs Rhinos ..... on the night the best team won - over the course of a season Cas were a cut above anyone else in the league. It'll be interesting to see how Cas evolve in the next few seasons, one season wonders or a real evolution as a club?

So basically you’ve won the charity shield one more time then Wenger?

posted on 9/10/17

I'd say you don't know what your talking about

posted on 9/10/17

VOF I see your point, but Cas have been building over four years putting together some young lads and players with little money, they have slowly grown and will be strong for another couple of years yet. The bookies have made them favourites to win it next year, with Saints, Wigan, and Warrington following. Leeds are fifth. This year they have blown the league away but could not do the one big game even though they knew how to beat this Leeds side. Experience and the best side on the night won. But it's not a bad start and all a learning experience. But to call them tin pot shows a little arrogance and disrespect to a club or sport. Put in another way, would we like to be called by Man U fans tin pot because we've spent so much time in the doldrums ?.

posted on 9/10/17

First and foremost you've a great coach. Bookies are normally good, but I'd say Leeds are ahead of the likes of Saints and Warrington.

I thought Saturday night there was a bit of inevitably about it all, I saw a Leeds win - appeared to be too much in their favour in terms of fate and key players.

No club is tin pot for me - I'm sure it wasn't meant serious, more a throwaway comment .....
