had it here this morning with a blood red sun
Windy in the Midlands too. Cleared up a load of leaves from the garden at the weekend, now they have been replaced by twice as many. And that red sun was weird
Wind switched to the north here last night so a bit chillier today but 70s the later half of the week so still clinging onto wearing shorts as it stands.
Well done Cinci, shorts until the frost bites!
Jota in the EFL team of the week. How the other 10 aren't there, I'll never know.
Oh you're all fecking weather experts now, as well as elite football experts !
Streweth
Anyway, talking bollax is allowed on the MT....no red pens here
Coming out of work my car was covered in Sahara dust.

Just seen it on FB, now I understand, you folks need to get out more as that kind of sun and sky is common in Kansas and west
West Brom are fecking rubbish. Barely getting out of their own half against Leicester.
Typical Pulis display, let the body builders smash em up for 80 mins and try to mic something late on
Two poor teams really. Leicester lack a central midfield, Ndidi may as well have played in there on his own. West Brom struggle to put 5 passes together.
Leicester look a better team, but West Brom doing want they always do. Make the game boring, kill of any attempt football and score from a set piece.
Getting confused now, are we talking about Cardiff, Ipswich or west Brom?
I don't pay much attention to Ipswich or Cardiff to be honest.

That's a healthy choice, all three should be banned
Went to see the U23s lose 2-0 to Villa tonight. Good to see the likes of Hause, Ronan and Zyro get a run out as well as Oniangue who played at right-back. I have to say I really can't understand the value in playing these guys in a 4-4-2 though.
Assumed they played the same formation as the first team so yeah it makes little sense.
The U23s have played 442 all season I think. The formation shouldn't be fixed in my mind, should be whatever best suits the players in the team. Shoe horning players into a pre determined formation is what leads to accusations of square pegs in round holes.
Although the first team have generally played 343 that changes to 451 when the opponents are on top in away games. N'Diaye plays the central midfield role different to Saiss and Neves, Vinagre plays the left wing back role differently to Douglas, and the front three set up differently when Bonatini is playing to when he isn't. The objective is to get the best out of the players, not to play in a rigid regime regardless of who is on the field
I get what you are saying but isn't it down to coaching and molding players as well?
If we have a handful of injuries then how would players that haven't played a specific position in our standard formation adjust?
See Ming Yang Yang played for the U23s. Wonder if he will be the first of many Chinese given a chance

They wouldn't be able to. It would be like asking Roger Johnson to mark zonally or an orangutan to plumb your washing machine in.
Both would just grunt with an inane expression on their face and probably try to mount you.
