I think a manager that knows a little bit more about the Premier League can get a lot more out of this group of players that Shakey was getting.
We weren't getting thrashed, but we didn't know how to win either.
I'd take Alladyce right now. Some names being banded around scare the sh!t out of me

I'd agree with this. I think SA is the sort of manager that will stabilise us. Let's face it take the PL winning season out and basically we've always been a side flirting with relegation.
I think we have to forget about momentum from the PL winning season now and build again. Any momentum was basically lost with the poor recruitment immediately after. Allardyce isn't a manager who will take you to another level, but it feels we need a short term period to build some solid foundations - and it's unlikely he'd be in it for the long haul anyway.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He'll pretty much instantly know how to line-up the team, and we'd soon start getting points on the board. And if there is anything special left in this team it will come again
Please take Wenger off our hands.
Dave/Spurtle - The surprise to me is that it happened so quickly. It's looked on the cards to me for a few games now but I thought he'd get well into November before anyone acted.
Wengersaurus - The only way to do that would be to inject him with a large dose of muscle relaxant first so that he weakens his vice-like grip on your Chief Executive's goolies.
Would Allardyce be interested? I think he'd have stayed with Palace if he was that bothered about managing in the prem still.
Zlatan - You never know what happens behind closed doors. Or indeed what four months stuck alone with the wife does to a man.
Fair point. There's rumours he could take the US national team job.
Would be a good short term fix for Leicester if you could tempt him out of retirement.
I'm surprised that so many on here would be happy with Sam. He's a level down from the top flight and while he'd probably steady the ship, it's the slippery road to mediocrity.

Completely agree
How's he a level down from the top flight? Leicester need to stay in the league, they are already on a slippery road to mediocrity.

Exactly. If we're not careful we'll soon be worse than mediocre
I like mediocre. It L's Leicester all over. We're comfortable there.
That title win thing scared me. Felt all winny and different. I don't like change.
I can't wait for Andy along to take over as player manager and lead us back to being the yo-yo club we so enjoy being.
Not Stringer's biggest fan, but I thought this was a nice tribute to CS:
"I'll miss him. Above all, he's a nice man. They're rare in football."
maybe that was part of the problem though.
* the niceness, not the rarity!
He also pointed out that Shakey oversaw one of the Greatest Nights in LCFC history, beating Sevilla in the Champions League.
Craig Shakespeare Thankyou for helping our fantastic club to becoming PREMIER LEAGUE CHAMPIONS 2015/16.
A great coach, approachable, likeable bloke.
Some sadness that you weren't given 3 more games to change it around.
It is with big regret that we couldn't keep you in the coaching side of things. Maybe you were offered this? But want to remain a No1?
I just hope Michael Appleton starts flexing them muscles & kicks a few ar$es before he is also moved on.
Disgraceful treatment of a true Baggies fan, CS.
Isn't it funny the players where bang average but could always lift themselves for a Champions league game i would not give CS all the credit for that night but its great for him to have as a memory of the best of times there aren't many managers who can say that.
