I don't think he's actually rap ed anyone. He asked them for favours in return for acting roles which from what it looks like many accepted.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Forgot to add this happens in all businesses around the world. How else could the super hot woman at work who is dumb as fak get promoted to managerial level.

He's an absolute SC um bag but like I said.many of these woman accepted and progressed in there careers.

Polanski is another sicko as well, it's disgusting that he's not inside just because he ran away from his trial to another country.

While it's true he hasn't been charged, (I don't even think he's been arrested or even question yet) there are what? Forty women saying he's s*xual abused them, made a pass at them and/or m*sturbated in front of them?

The details are very, very similar too, called to a hotel room for a "meeting", he's in his dressing gown, and it goes from there. There's too many for it to be a false claim or a misunderstanding. He hasn't been charged but it's looking very, very likely that he has done the crimes alleged.

Deserves everything he gets. We know he's paid off eight women and taking into account that there are literally dozens of women saying the same, many of whom are world famous and have absolutely nothing to gain, means that he will be looking at jail time.

The guy's a rapist.

.................

Now, I'm not defending him at all, but has he been charged with a crime yet?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I dont care tbh. I'll leave the legalities to due process and I'm more than comfortable labelling him a rapist. Two were reported and nothing was done.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If you look at the past, then believing what the press have written would be the last thing a Liverpool supporter should do.

Would you say being touted as being guilty by the press before being found guilty by the courts acceptable now?

posted on 19/10/17

It's not the press giving witness statements though.

One of the reasons Twitter has had such an impact on delivery of news around the world is that you get first hand accounts of a situation.

Doesn't mean they're right or don't have bias attached but it's still a first hand account.

You can, if you wish, read direct accusations from women involved. Reducing that type of personal accusation to the level of red-top media fantasy is frankly insulting.

One of the reasons this is such big news is because people have been prepared to speak out.

Too much smoke for fire not to exist. His alleged behaviour is disgraceful and hopefully a fair legal investigation will occur with rightful justice given at the end of it.

As for social media? It’s fair enough to give people a platform to air their opinions even if many are clueless, utterly idiotic or offensive but it just seems to always bring out the nasty side of a lot of people most of whom have nothing to do with what they’re discussing or would be affected by it in any way. People who actively go out of their way to post seriously harmful stuff whether rightly or wrongly are a major problem. It’s not your life’s mission to interfere, focus on your own life or get one of your own if you have none. Online harassment is a bigger issue than many people probably realise especially if they haven’t been on the end of it (I haven’t btw).

It is very similar to the Cosby case in the way it has all come to light in a very short space of time.

His acts if they are to be believed were far more despicable than what we know so far on Weinstein, yet he is still a free man.

I choose to believe the three famous women who have accused him of rape due to the other 40 accusations and 8 settlements.

Because I'm mental.

Anyone see that Courtney love clip that's been dug up from 2005? She gets asked if she has any advice for new actresses entering the industry and she says if you get invited to a private hotel by Harvey Weinstein, don't go. Pretty obvious the guy's been doing this for a very long time.

No, these are no the same media outlets. These are people and these are their alleged experiences.

I get the media can be manipulative and I get news network influence public opinion. But what you did is equate the media's role in a police and government cover up to accusations made directly by the complainants.

It's really not the same thing.

As for for him being found guilty in the public eye? Yeah probably. With that many people prepared to say he did X and go public, it will inevitably impact the public view.

He'll still get his day in court to defend himself.

Whether they are famous or not should be irrelevant.

I feel it adds gravitas to the accusation.

He is. As I understand it (miss-trial?) he's still an accused man though. Not been found guilty or innocent. He'll face court again I believe.

No denying the difficultly of getting a conviction though.
