Based on the actual statement from the mosque and it's timing
If someone tells you they're coming to your property ahead of time do you:
-Tell them they're not welcome immediately?
-Tell them they're not welcome before they step through the door?
-Tell them they're not welcome once they're inside?
-Tell them they're not welcome as they're leaving?
-Tell them they're weren't welcome three days after they left in a twitter post that's mainly an apology because of backlash?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Honestly, this presents another mystery to me. Maybe I'm a genius but could you simplify your answer as I can't figure out what point you're trying to make here.
No I've been quite clear about it and you're certainly not a genius

"little or no time to disagree"
How long does it take to say no or close the door to him.
Stop being pathetic, there are obvious things to criticise Keir for (condoning collective punishment and telling British Muslims to free the Israeli hostages) but this reaction to the mosque visit is a non story.
This statement has come out because the mosque has faced backlash, it's a response to that and not to him visiting "unannounced"
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don’t appreciate the rudeness.
Being put out that someone tagging along who you hadn’t planned for has invited themselves isn’t an uncommon reaction; I’d say it is an entirely human one, particularly if you feel that person has misrepresented their visit.

Wait - starmer told British Muslims to release Israeli hostages?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not exactly but his post about the visit to a mosque said he "reiterated the need for Hamas to release the hostages"
He's put that there to placate Muslim haters imo but it's clumsy and offensive
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Good lord that was a bit dumb.
Look I'm not going to die on this hill, the visit was a photo op and his tweet about hostages was offensive imo
What I'm saying is he visited the mosque on Sunday and told them he was coming ahead of time, only now on Wednesday are the mosque saying they didn't want him there
They could have told him to go away before and during but it feel like this statement is a reaction to backlash rather than Keir himself

Doesn't really work like that, does it?
Keir posted the pic late on the 22nd, with follow ups on 23rd lunchtime. Note that he didn’t actually tag anyone in the thread. The statement from the Mosque came on the 24th. Thus the “3 days later narrative” is a bit disingenuous given the statement was about not just the “late notice” but also the misrepresentstion. I don’t think that’s a hugely unreasonable timeline for a response to Keir’s misrepresentation.

I made clear it is not and has never been my view that Israel had the right to cut off water, food, fuel or medicines. International law must be followed.

We know this is not a new crisis. There has been a failure of international politics for decades. We don’t want to see any further loss of innocent life, Israeli or Palestinian."
