If Israel entered a song referring to Otto Van Bismarck and the Franco-Prussian war in the 1870s, in some metaphor for a love story; I don't think we'd be having this discussion.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's ridiculously harsh. I agree with much of your post before this point but many of those MPs calling for him to resign are stressing that they consider him a good man who made an honest mistake, but that his position is untenable.
The type of man he is?! One that made a mistake. And it will probably cost him his role. But he apologised yesterday, apologised again today.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The comment was less about the decision he made a d more about his abdication of duty when he failed to return to the chamber to deal with the fallout, instead sending a deputy (who was unsupported by any clerk).

Exactly.
And these guys have recency bias. Christianity been causing wars for millennia and responsible for far worse than Islam.
I don't remember the Muslims leaving their continent to fight crusades over the "holy land" in Europe. It was christians doing that in the name of their God. All the way to the Levant in the year 1100 to die in the name of God. They must have been very committed, even though the Muslims eventually whooped their asses back to Europe to lick their wounds.
Fast forward to today and we are still doing the crusades. Christianity is still all up in that land trying to take it over.
Then they run a propaganda campaign in the west that allows simpletons like Oscar and Clapfree to blame Islam for everything.
Use your brain, going by your logic, the bigger and longer running problem is Christianity.

You don’t hear of much hatred aimed towards any other religion besides Islam, why do you think that is?
I tell a lie, I believe antisemitism has gone up but the majority of that hatred is coming from the left.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think it's because the far and extreme Right are scared and they like to talk about their fears.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Scared of what? What have they got to be scared of?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I've no idea, I'm not scared of brown people or their religion, probably why I don't hyper-focus on them.
To ask you the ery same question you asked me why "don’t (we) hear of much hatred aimed towards any other religion besides Islam" ?

Christianity is widely criticised by atheists and agnostics.
If you point out the only religion to be on the rise is backwards and bad for society you get accused of some kind of phobia though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
ALL religion is backwards imo, living your life today based on books, rules and ideas from millennia ago is bad for society.
Each to their own though.

The far and extreme Right don't have much faith in British people and our love of our values and traditions do they? They seem a very, mentally, fragile and scared lot TBH. Obviously there is money to be grifted stoking fear and encouraging division and we've always had rabble-rousers wanting to enrich themselves and/or garnish influence, will GBnews ever be a vehicle for either?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What are they scared of?

Brown people and their religion.

This just tells us you don't read much about the wider world and not anything factual about geo politics and religion.

Hector was talking about the British.

Where are the boats they're so scared of coming from and what colour and religion are the majority of people on the boats?

UK Special Forces blocked Afghan troops they had fought alongside from relocating to the UK after the Taliban seized power, BBC Panorama can reveal.
Leaked documents show special forces rejected applications despite some containing compelling evidence of service alongside the British military.
Afghan commandos accompanied British special forces on some of the most dangerous missions of the conflict.
The UK in being cruel and humane shocker
