Will be interesting to see how many votes Reform got by age range.

For all the talk of them growing in power would it really surprise anyone if they heavily rely on the over 50 vote?

They polled 2nd in a poll I saw for 18-24 year olds. Will be interesting to see the actual result

That’s their main demographic of course but I meet a lot of UK late teens/early 20 something British people from fairly decent upbringings here in Oz travelling and most of them say they would vote for Reform which makes no sense other than youthful political ignorance.

Not at all. I did see there were some polls that they were polling quite high with gen z, albeit nowhere near what Labour were, which isn’t a surprise when Reform have put a lot of work on Tiktok.

131 Conservative MPs would be the lowest number in the party's history. Their previous record low was 156 in 1906.

It would also represent the biggest post-war drop in the number of Tory MPs between elections: down 241 on the 2019 result (adjusted to 2024 boundaries), beating the previous record of a drop of 219 at the 1945 election.

Still think this is an underwhelming result for Keith given what the polls were predicting for him. These Tories are so much more worse than Major’s version too

BBC projects that Jeremy Hunt, Grant Shapps, Penny Mordaunt, Steve Baker, Iain Duncan Smith and Jacob Rees-Mogg are all likely to lose their seats

This is worthy of a fat injection

I think Badenoch and Braverman are hanging on, same with Truss

The image of Keith that Sky News are using really makes him look like a Brosnan/Craig era Bond villain.

This Tory gov started off with a much bigger majority than Blair faced against Major.

Their vote demographic will obvs be that age group? Clearly there will be the younger age as well who, and I accept they don’t fully understand the issues other than immigration? Now I do not feel Im any more understanding than otheres but they have to surely ffs begin to accept what’s what?

Sky news predicting Tories are 85% to hold on in my constituency.

Disappointing when all the polls had it a toss up.

He nearly lost to the Libs in 2019 anyway he was always gonna go

I think the appeal to younger voters with reform is they’ve grown up in a horrific time under the Tories and want change for the sake of it (understandable to an extent) and if the Reform bots keep posting and posting and posting and posting that Labour are no different to the Tories and use terms like ‘uniparty’ the impressionable youth are going to choose different over the same

Looks like Labour's vote share is at the lower end of the poll spectruum 36/37%. Which would explain their lower seat total than some of MRPs were predicting.

I want to see what the turnout is

How is it underwhelming? It’s one of the biggest landslides in history.

Doesn't help that those on both side of the fence have been running with "Labour are going to win anyway so don't bother voting"
