Let’s just hope this doesn’t lead to more idiots left or right doing something similar

I said about 6 months ago that I thought we'd see one of these two being assassinated. You can't have nearly a decade of the divisiveness we have seen and pandering towards the extremes, in a country with a history of violence without this sort of thing rearing it's ugly head.

Sadly, I think this will probably lead to more divisiveness
a doubling down on rhetoric and probably retaliatory attack, rather than it being a sobering moment for everyone.

Wonder if he left any kind of manifesto/motive behind.

If he's a Republican then he could either hate what Trump's done to the party/country or he could be the kill your idol type.

Some of the Republican Congress/senators have already blamed Biden on Twitter. If Trump comes out later and does the same, I dread to think what might happen.

I really hope even Trump isn't dumb enough to basically incite a civil war, but you never know.

Republican party member, but reports also say he donated money to a progressive alliance in 2021. Difficult to know what his motive was for this.
