How am I?

The statement was made about a disgusting attack on an Asian and blamed on it being a legacy of the last government.

Attacks on Asians have been going on for decades in this country so how is it a legacy of the last 14 years?

Racism which spurs such attacks has also been with us for decades.

As a country we are nowhere near perfect but we are a damned sight bettter than we used to be. And I’m not taking about just over the last 14 years for clarity. ffs we used to make tv comedies based on racism.

Anyways, I’m not going to get embroiled in all this again. I thought it was a ridiculous thing to say is all.

Diversity has increased massively over the past 14 years. Last time I had a racist barb chucked at me in the streets was 2005.

She also comes across as positive. Politics has been all about anger and fear for a long time now, so seeing a politician who laughs a lot and wants to spread a progressive and positive message is probably refreshing to a lot of people.
