I think Labour have said they are going to start looking into criminal prosecution for failing water companies if it's warranted.

I hope they follow through with it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sadly I can't see it happening. Same with other huge scandals like the Post Office, despite evidence of a criminal conspiracy to cover up their own failings and turn a blind eye to miscarriages of justice no one will be held to account legally. Same with Hillsborough, Grenfell, the infected blood scandal etc etc.

Get to a certain level of society (monetarily, politically or in business) and you are immune from the consequences of actions and the law. They even still get a payoff despite wrongdoing and a cushy job elsewhere a few months down the line.

Biggest lie by the left. At no point did the UK economy crash under Liz Truss"

This dichotomy of blaming either the "Left" or the "Right" is just plain lazy and vexes me. Just dig deeper and understand the root cause and the consequences of actions.

Through the actions of Liz Truss and her "learned and honourable" Chancellor, history recorded an immediate negative impact to the UK economy which resulted in her tax U-turn.

This Kevin Edgar is like Culer: has no clue in what he's yapping about.

Listened to the DT and Musk interview. I never realised quite how boring Trump is when he is allowed to talk, without being challenged.

No question for me the man can be unintentionally hilarious in many contexts. But with Musk it was just two deranged losers bouncing between one dumb idea to the next.

Lizz Truss is another who is just sad to hear speak. Mental illness and right wing grifting go hand in hand I think.

My favourite part was when they were talking about nuclear weapons and Musk said something to the effect of:

"Hiroshima and Nagasaki got bombed but they've been rebuilt now so it's not as scary as people think"

> Judge Robert Linford then rounded on Cann telling him that according to his police interview he discussed with them "about the better use of taxpayers' money and why people were having to pay to keep these people in this country after committing such heinous crimes."

> Judge Linford then launched a stinging rebuke, saying: "So let's look at how the taxpayer have been funding your activities over the last 38 years - let's see what you've cost the country: you've got 10 aliases, four fictitious birth dates, you're 51 years of age, you've been convicted of 170 offences, you been convicted of theft, arson, taking cars, handling stolen goods, obtaining by deception, burglary, dangerous driving and possessing bladed articles. In all over the years that you've been visiting the criminal justice system you've received sentences totalling 357 months in prison, many of them concurrent.

> "In other words, nearly 30 years. That Mr Cann is what you've been costing this country and you sit there in that interview and saw fit to be critical of others. You have no right whatever to say who should or should not be in this country."
