In a job centre, the public were not allowed to photgrapgh us, the staff at work, or in my case eating sausage rolls and drinking coffee.

Taking pics of cops might be dodgy, especially in NI, if you think about it.

Yeah I don’t agree with not being able to film police. It’s probably the best tool the public has to hold them to account. I appreciate that with this come problems such as people recoding halfway through an incident etc. Or videos such as Dawn Butler’s but I would still undoubtedly take that cost for the right to record police interactions.

Prosecute those that make it public if it's been edited or doesn't show the full story.

Messy but something like that should be put in place.

The main problem with these videos, as you indicate, is that they are released initially and public decisions are made. No matter what happens afterwards as the true facts are revealed, it’s too late.

‘Hands up, don’t shoot’ even though it wasn’t a video it comes to mind for a false story still being believed long after the facts came out.
