Same age as you OP, I guess we both remember when a top 8 finish and a positive goal difference along with Arsenal not winning the league was deemed a good season

Glad to see we’re making moves in the right direction though. I’ve always compared us to clubs of similar standing across Europe (Atleti, Valencia, Lazio, Roma etc) and they’ve all won a league title or two in my time so it would be brilliant if we can do the same.... someday!!!

I don't think anyone is claiming it is OUR 'Lambo' merely our record. I do recall Arsenal playing at Wembley for the 98/99 CL season using the expected gate to prove they could easily fill their new stadium (to financiers) with 60000. The average gate for Arsenal was 73000 from a capacity of circa 82000 for old Wembley. Spurs achieved 85500 in the CL in 2016.

The timetable that rival supporters insist upon is irrelevant tbh. The point they miss and that we understand is that Spurs are evolving and improving and the positivity from Spurs fans is totally justified.
