Not fast enough. Kept getting beaten to every through ball yesterday. When he did win them he has no crossing ability on him.
Said it time and time again. The best performances from Roofe have come from him playing through the middle.
He's not a wide player for me. Would have him as our backup to Lasogga and get Grot out on loan or in the U23s.
Agreed he is better centrally, to me he would suit a 442 perfectly but we don't play that way.
He's decent up front also. Scored all bar 1 of his goals this season playing up front I believe.
He was cooking up that sauce when played up top earlier in the season
When Pablo was injured last season and he was the central man of the 3 behind Wood I thought he really started to look decent
He's been unlucky at Leeds, bit like Antonsson. Signed by club as a striker but then we switched our formation to 1 upfront.
Think he'd be good in a 4-4-2 but we don't play that and he doesn't have that physical presence to play as a lone striker. Still he's got 3 goals in the league and a few assists too. Think he's a good player but just not as good as we hoped.
He hasn't made the step up, not good enough.
We played 433 v Bristol, is probably better than Alioski atm so could quite easily slot in there if we stick to this system

Not better than Alioski, he played well with Ayling on Saturday and kept their left back Bryan pushed back for the majority of the match.
Alioski and Roofe are different kinds of players. i think Alioski has more to his game.
I see him as a Jermaine Defoe type striker.
Very much needs the right system to thrive in.
When I spoke to him after Burton, he stated that his improvement in form in the first few games was due to a change in the system from prior season.
Make of that what you will.
Just read elsewhere that Kemar had his 11th assist of the season? That, together with his 4 goals, is not good enough for 11 games?
I am open to correction on the stats.
He could work as a false 9 to be honest.
I don't think he's had 11 assists this season, maybe 11 in total since he first signed?
