“I would like to win the Carabao Cup but if you want to be a big team, if you want to fight for big things, I think it’s impossible if you don’t use all the squad and rotate in England with the international duty, it’s impossible. They are not a machine, and that is a massive problem for everyone.
“Spain is completely different. France is completely different. Germany is completely different. Italy is completely different, I think we need to teach our fans, we need to teach you too, because it’s so difficult to fight for four competitions and then how you manage your group of players.
“Of course, to win the Carabou Cup, yes, of course, but I think will not change the life of Tottenham. To win the FA Cup, fantastic, I would love to win the oldest competition in the world but it really changes your life if you win the Premier League or Champions League. That is the truth. And after someone want to manipulate my words, OK, go on, but that is the truth.”
a bit of a over reaction there Sandy, not the end of the world, as stated earlier spammers cup final, and carabao cup , does anyone know what that even is

Eeeeeeverybody!!....
And now you know I can't smile without you
TOTTENHAM!!
I can't smile without you
I can't laugh and I can't sing
I'm finding it hard to do anything
You see I feel sad when your sad
I feel glad when you're glad
If you only knew what I'm going through
I just can't smile
Pull it together Sandy. Last night is far from acceptable but this is extremely dramatic.

If it was a one off, it would be, but it simply is not. Spurs have a truly shocking record in cup competitions for a while now, so why any supporter would be happy with that I don`t know. Having not won the league for over 50 years and never having won the European Cup/CL, it seems Spurs best chances of winning silverware, would be put into trying to win a domestic cup.
This tamely going out of cup competitions and supporters just accepting it surely has to stop.

I don`t do perspective, I only deal in facts, but if you are happy with the constant throwing away of cup competitions as if they don`t matter, then fair enough. Who am I to argue.
March through London,
Strip naked outside Wembley and protest?
Stop going?
Go to games but look the other way?
We're out of a competition which is pretty much universally every clubs lowest priority.
Shame to lose of course, but the two games either side of this one are far more important.

Put your boots on, and get on the pitch, and show these overpaid primma donnas how it is done. Failing that take me out to the pub for a free evening out, to calm me down.

What Phil said
Teams in the top 5 in the league have good enough squads to make it to the quarters/semi's and then put in a few first teamers
City played Aguero, Jesus
We played Toby, Rose, Son, Alli, Tripper,
Man United played Smalling, Lingard, Rashford, Martial, Blind
It's not that teams don't care, they can afford to play second string in hope they make it further to put in a stronger team,

Yes, I do realise in the bigger picture, it is the clubs lowest target, but why should it be? The trophies are not exactly flowing into WHL. You say the two biggest games coming up, but are Spurs going to win the league, probably not. Are Spurs going to win the CL, not a hope in hell. So arguably the biggest match of the week should have been the match against West Ham.

OK. One day for the pity party then we move on.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I have already had enough negativity, I have now moved on to May, when Spurs are trophyless yet again. But at least the sun will be shining.
Winning becomes a habit, even winning the League Cup can help build that mentality in the squad.
I agree with sandy 100% and i think since hea come back hes been a breath of fresh air. Everybody else is happy with mediocre and not winning any trophies. I love poch but I massively have to disagree with his opinion on cups. You would have thought he'd be desperate to win his first trophy.

I prefer optimistic and biased Sandy.
People say no one cares about the cup, but when a side wins it you can clearly see the players do enjoy celebrating it and actually getting to hold a trophy, isn't that what's it's about?
The likes of Rooney and Ronaldo picking up the League Cup for us as their first trophy was great for them, gives them and all the young players the hunger for more trophies, and also the mentality that they know they can win them when it counts.
The way some of you lot are easy to dismiss cup competitions is baffling.
How could you say your prioritizing when you haven't won ANYTHING for years, and the chances of you lot winning the other 2 trophies are so much slimmer compared to the domestic trophies.
When Kane or Alli end up leaving, and you see them holding an FA or League cup, have a look at their faces and see if they look like they don't care.
