The big difference between the two clubs is the quality of our Football Academy and the consistant stream of high quality young players who graduate into our First Team Squad.

I think you'll find it's the First Team Squad who are graduating into your U23 side that's the relevant point here; half of your outfield side, in fact.

I offer you a reasonable challenge Strett and you turn it down. Now I know from what you have said on here that you are a bit like Lennie Small from "of mice and men" so I would be in danger of you falling on me in a fight but I am quite willing to meet you half way. How about a press ups competition. You have about 20 years advantage on me and my body is frail but I still feel confident. What about it? You could wear an over priced designer sports kit and I'll just wear T shirt and joggers. A reasonable challenge I think and one which could be set up quite easily.

I played Lenny in Of Mice and Men
Hid in the alfalfa bushes, asked George about the rabbits, etc. Won accolades and hearts for a such a stirring performance.

True that

You saying you aren't up to a physical challenge from a pensioner then Strett.

Your performance as Lennie must have been easy. Did the drama teacher say, just be yourself.

These players badly needed game time and are being kept out of the First Team Squad by Joe Worral, Ben Brereton, Kieran Dowel, Ben Osborn and Tyler Walker and Jordan Smith.

These are a group of highly talented, keen, young players desperate to play and do well. They don't earn a fortune [apart from possibly Keiran Dowell] but are on par with your expensive signings.

'Lennie walks heavily, dragging his feet a little, adding that his arms do not swing at his sides, but hang loosely.'

Owd Strett. From what I've heard, the part could have been written for him

I made the part my own, Ang.
It took all my acting skillls I’ve also played the lead in Singin in the rain, Pirates of Penzance, Bassanio in The Merchant of Venice and many more.
Talent is oozing.
You are quite lucky to have me in truth.

Oozes from you like a suppurating boil.

I too have done my time on the boards. I always had lead parts because I was one of the few who could remember the lines.

Good point. The path from U23 to first team has been pretty effective at the CG.

One of the dubious advantages of not having a good first team squad is that it enables you to play youngstersfrom your academy. Most flatter to deceive. I don't see much of a future for Jordan Smith or Joe Worral from the liitle I have seen of them.

It even pays off for you at times. i was amazed at the amount of money you received for Oliver Burke but probably not as amazed as the Leipzig fans when they saw him play.

This is pure blinkered cheek, we are getting better, hence winning 4-0 & 1-2; you lot are getting worse hence a 2-4 thrashing at home to Reading.

Your team is expensive and overpaid, under motivated and under achieving, overseen by a owner clearly out of his depth.

I've heard that he intends to hire Fawas as a consultant!
