It's not to say im not completely out of it...
I ran some regression analysis on some of the Key TA markers such as Stoch RSI 14 1hr with 80/20 crosses and then used a genetic algorithm on a basket of day traded cryptos outside the top 5, and such is the prevalence of day trading, the best strategy was anticipatory of buys and sells so closer to "70/30" crosses, and calculating the candle on each 1min through the hour(as if it was the close) as opposed to on the close of the hour. I'm assuming this manifests due to folk trading using tradingview for day trading charts and so the RSI triggers are after the fact due to the way they are calculated on close of hour. If i had time i would have plugged order book activity into it too, to see when the TA day trades hit the book. But i was already too far down the rabbit hole by that point.

Biggish i like you man but no one gives a feck about astrolo- i mean technical analysis on this thread
If you have something to discuss about the actual projects and their fundamentals thats cool
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well Blarms, you asked me that last time and i gave you the fundemnetal reasons then and it is just compunding..
TA is an essental part of investing, if no one gives a feck about it then i worry for them.
I am not saying this for name dropping but before retiring, I ran the prop trading desk in Merril NY, i think i know what i am talking about.
Simple rule, funamentals first and then look to see if the TA picture backs up th fudemental background
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I half knew you were in the sector, from something a while back. I'm on and off helping some TA crypto trading start-up, but just cant wrap my head around the point of it. The external influences are just too extensive and extreme, systemic fraud, rug pulls, regulation, insolvencies, exchange freezes etc
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I agree with all of that.
I know absolutley nothing about crypto, my times in the markets ended 2001, but i trade for myself still, but not normally crypto,.
But the external influences change of course in any market and now that the professional institutions decided they wanted a piece of the action crypto has become much more correlated with the Stock Markets so gets hit hard when there is a bout of deleveraging.
rising interest rates are also bad news for crpto, so yeah as you say, a lot stacked against it.
Political influence really moves it too
----------------------------------------------------------------------
2008, was last time I was in FS sector. Insurance company won't touch me due to involvement with MBS trading. Not that I'm interested in that sector now. Impacts my health as dont cope with the stress well.

Bitcoin is incredibly right now and there is very little chart support below the 30,000 level
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's bounced straight off $28k both times... There are massive, massive support levels down to $20k... Stop speaking shiite
----------------------------------------------------------------------
...instead of making your smart comments, if you had at least considered my previous post you may have made some money..feckin mug
And sadly for you, charts do work and this pair is trading like a perfecy storm for TA
and yes i still see it going to between 12,000 and 13,000 and it could happen very soon
----------------------------------------------------------------------
and what has happen both times it hit $20k, this week?
Your "advice" was a month ago... I assumed you made millions shorting?
The fact that you are talking about BTC "closing" makes me certain that you are looking at this like stocks, rather than a wild west, unregulated market that is completely at the mercy of whales, scammers, bad actors and bad code.
Did your TA predict UST and Celcius? They are the reasons for this new crash, not lines on a chart.

I've got shorts on that and tether.
I swear of you watched Luna go down and continued to hold algorithmic stable coins you dont deserve the money
Im getting rather sick of seeing valid criticism shot down with the line 'stop spreading FUD'
The more the likes of Do Kwons and Mashinskys go down the better it is for Crypto overall
on a seperate note Coinbase taking flak now too for expanding too quickly. The cancelled a bunch of hirings last minute and have now fired 18% of their workforce

Probably the smartest move on this entire thread!
If you put the word algorithmic in your whitepaper more than 30 times i hear it 10xed the result of your ICO
Thing is Tether is just straight up fraudulent (ALLEGEDLY) as opposed to a faulty idea
I think some of the guys behind the algo coins really thought it would work
I think an algo might one day come around that works.... Offering 20% APR was never gonna be sustainable though.
I view it pretty similar to technical analysis tbh Ji

Binance id wager would survive Tether and you can short on there

Assume it would take a full SEC investigation to unravel Tether though tbh E
