World Cup 62 England keeper Ron Springett used to be our decorator.
Can remember when he brought round some of his England caps to show me and I had no idea what they were so half distracted I said just put them over there and I'll check them out later Ron. He wasn't too happy with thatGood guy though

Ron Springett, best ever Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper.
On my dad's side, second cousins I think - Harry Chapman played for the Owls in 1899-1911 (brother of Herbert Chapman <Manager of some London club)
My late Nans brother is Sam Magri,s Grandad so I’m assuming that his a cousin or something.
Seemed strange asthe last time I spoke to him was at my Nans funeral and wished em a the best for the new season he was at QPR, the next time I saw was watching him on TV vs England.
