Manc has a point. Emirates isn't as intimidating as other top 6 grounds imo.

Crosses are not indicative of great attacking play. I recall a game that United played against Fulham a few years ago, where they attempted like 100 crosses or something crazy like that.

Strange that the other top 6 clubs find it hard to win there then

4 wins in 60 games at Arsenal for Liverpool, Spurs, City combined - but they allegedly love coming to us

Well we beat Spurs at the Emirates a couple of weeks ago . We have won 11 in a row at the Emirates in the league including United.
Plus anyone with any football sense would take City to beat any of the top 6 away, so a rather ridiculous statement from someone struggling to defend a rather weak point.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well done you beat us with an awful team

Like I say give me any away ground out the top 6 and I'd choose the Emirates. It's not a point it's an opinion. And if you want to bang on about history then our record at the Emirates isn't too shabby
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You must like not winning then...

Suppose it was a weak team when we smashed you 3-0 the season before as well?

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Pretty weak team yes under Louis. We had the likes of Darmian, depay and Schweinsteiger playing

D'Jeezus

Give stats all you like. As a united fan it's the ground I'd prefer to go to out of the other top teams. End of.

You obviously don't like my opinion but it still stands

You smashed us more in our 1-2 win. The 3-0 defeat both teams had same shots on target and in fact Man Utd created more clear cut chances that game.

I love your opinion. It shows the misplaced arrogance that is always enjoyable after you don't get the result that you thought was guaranteed.

Who has said the result is guaranteed? I know it will be a tough game and if anything I think Arsenal will get something. It's not misplaced arrogance at all. Your ground is less intimidating than others and I always feel we could Nick something like we have plenty of times before

Arsenal seem to be very efficient against us last few seasons.

Arsenal have been a better team than Spurs and Liverpool for a long time (and City if you want to go further back) so of course our record at the Emirates is superior to those teams historically, but I'd say if you are a Man U or Chelsea, currently, you'd expect to come under a little more pressure at Anfield or WHL (or in this case, Wembley) than you'd come under at the Emirates.

In any case, it was an opinion, not really stated as a fact, so I don't see why it's worth arguing over. There's the PERCEPTION that the Emirates is not really an intimidating ground.

Would be interesting to see the number of defeats they've had too. I lost count of the amount of times teams have frustrated us by getting draws.

Four wins in 17 years away to Arsenal for United, for comparison, in the same period United have won seven times at Anfield. Only against Chelsea do United fare worse away. That is despite Arsenal being a pretty weak team for a decent part of that.

Although, given the importance of playing Liverpool for United, I can understand why United fans wouldn't enjoy the prospect of seeing their team play there.

It seems to work well for us. They can perceive what they want, when their team comes out onto the Emirates pitch they rarely leave it with 3 points.

Man Utd seem to be extremely wastefor against Arsenal in the last 3 season while Arsenal have been clinical. I hope it is role reversal.

Not as many as I thought actually. Seven defeats.

It's down to opinion. Nothing more. Utd have two derbies and an historically rubbish record at SB so for many of them it'd be a toss up between WHL and the Emirates.

Out of interest, what's Mourinhos record at the Emirates like?

posted on 29/11/17

United points in last 5 always against:
Liverpool (8)
City (7)
Arsenal (5)
Spurs (3)
Chelsea (1)

Points the home team won:
Liverpool (5)
City (7)
Arsenal (8)
Spurs (9)
Chelsea (13)

Yet Spurs and Arsenal are the away games they prefer compared to the derbies?

posted on 29/11/17

It's pretty poor, although so is ours against him. He's never won there in the league. His only win at The Emirates was in a League Cup game in 2013. However, he has only lost there once, there have been a lot of draws, probably due to his style of play.

Keep talking about history D'Jeezus. Like I have said and will keep saying. Arsenal is the one game that least worries me. They always give you a chance and I always feel we can get something. Yes we haven't always got something but it is still a game I think we can win over the others. Not quite sure why you have got your knickers in a twist over it. Yes we have a very good record at Anfield and etihad yet before the game I never feel as though we will get something

Would love to know what you are basing your opinion on if it isn't history? Seen into the future, have we?
