I almost completely agree. January not great time for deals.
However special cicumstances the need arises.
We need a goalkeeper. Even an average one would do. Cannot continue with these two clowns.
Can we not engineer a way of sending cbj back? Would be useful to have a second go at loaning in someone to add the balance we need there

Not a great time to do deals, then you list two immediately.
We also need a striker.
What is Orta here for if he can’t do transfers in one of two transfer windows?
Special circumstances.
We have a chance of playoffs but not with a clown in goal.
With every transfer you should be looking to improve your starting squad. Often it's not easy in January but surely we can improve on both the goalkeeper and left back.
If you cannot improve your match day squad then there is no point in buying imo.
Imo we need a left back, keeper to keep wiedwald on his toes, midfield holder & runner
I wonder whose decision it was to sign Felix in the first place, don't want to dig over old coals but did the decision come from Orta or was it similar to at City, TC wanted a particular kind of keeper and they went searching for one and on paper Felix sort of ticked the boxes. Whatever we are now in a situation where we have three keepers at the club none of whom really are good enough for the Championship let alone the premier league, in the meantime the real McCoy who would have done us for a season or two is third choice at Huddersfield. Madness.
Someone have a word with the powers that be, an audacious loan move for Rob Greene in January would suit everyone.
There can't be many keepers out there now this season. The Janners are now on their 7th <yiles>
Janners, Plymouth Argyle?
Do you reckon either of our clowns would tick the boxes
Yup on both counts, send then there.
I wonder if there's any prospect of getting Green back on loan from Hudds?
If he's not getting game time he might fancy it.
Danny Ward. Good enough for promotion last season and currently back as liverpools number 3. Surely a loan option is available.
danny ward is a good call. seen him in the cup games and looks solid.
but january is for selling and panic buying.
As I see it, someone made the decision that Rob Green didn't fit in with our way of playing, Felix brought in at the end of June a couple of weeks after TC was appointed. I would wager that Thomas had set out his stall from the onset in working towards a team that had a sweeper keeper, Rob Green didn't fit in with those on so many levels, not able to be that type of keeper, too old etc. If your face doesn't fit.
Green moved on in part because Felix was doing well and the plan was coming along.
The problem as I see it is, just as Rob Green is old school so are Pontus and Coops. They are old fashioned centre backs, just the type Rob Green is used to.
Either Felix needs centre backs used to playing with a sweeper keeper or we need someone like Rob Green.
The defence is a mismatch.
A left back and a GK are the big two. Charlie Taylor still has not been properly placed. There have been half-arsed attempts, but he hasn't been. Berardi is not a LB. Anita is inconsistent at LB albeit a good player when used properly. CBJ is simply not good enough.
We need a goalkeeper. FW is not good enough for a promotion chasing Championship side. These mistakes will continue. Things were fairly quiet for him during most of the QPR game and then he folded under tiny pressure. As a promotion chasing team there will be more games where he needs to keep his concentration. On Saturday we were lucky, there will be games where he costs us points.
A striker may be needed. I feel there is a combination of our current strikers that may work with two upfront but if PML is done here then we need another in as competition.
Spot on with the keeper analysis Pro.
He will cost us if we don't replace in Jan.
Alex McCarthy please.
Need a replacement for Phillips ASAP He just backs off and hides because he knows he's not good enough.
Be careful with your comments about our goalkeeping situation guys. The moron spotter will come down on you like a ton of bricks!
I know you all were under the illusion that this was a forum for discussion about the team but you have to pretend that everything in the garden is rosy or the wrath of Lubo will be upon you. Tremble tremble!
