What would be the point in getting rid of Giroud?

You'd rather get rid of Giroud and keep Walcott?

Why do Arsenal fans not rate giroud, so bizarre

posted on 12/12/17

Presumably we need to get Giroud out so that Sanchez doesn't feel his place is threatened, and consequently he stays forever and has our babies.

I'd take Giroud in a heartbeat.

OK, so in all seriousness i don't want Giroud out. But interesting to see fans reaction (albeit most reaction is from opposition fans) regarding Giroud.

If i posted this last year, when Giroud was our main striker, then i'd get little opposition to the idea of selling Giroud. But fast forward a year, we add a better quality striker in the squad, Giroud gets less game time and now considered a useful asset.

That should tell you that some are clueless.

I think this is based on three things:
1. Most fans a idiots who will parrot whatever they heard someone else say.
2. The breakdown between people who want him out and those that do hasn't really changed much, just that those that want to keep him feel emboldened while saying "get rid" just isn't cool right now
3. Beards are hugely fashionable right now.

How much do you think Giroud is worth in the current market, GT?

I've been off JA606 for a couple of years now. Has HC posted an on-topic comment yet??

With the end of Cazorla's career, Ramsey is about the best CM we have left.

Giroud is one of the best subs in the PL and a French international regular and considering he rarely starts, I'm not sure how he's a problem in any way.

I'd have thought any list of exits would include the likes of Wilshere, Elneny, Coquelin (garbage since he lost his starting spot), Walcott, Welbeck, Bellerin (the worst of our regular starting 11), Cech (severally proved to be past it in the last season-and-half) etc,

And yeah, quite obviously, Wenger needs to fack off.

I'm quite touched you remembered me though.

Makes my infrequent posting seem all worthwhile. Which is ironic.

Don't want to sound too dramatic but at least half of our starting line-up is just an accumulation of dross that needs to be replaced ASAP, and that's before we discuss the general squad and the likely potential of Sanchez and Ozil leaving.

As a general rule, you'd only want to replace a max of 3 players from the starting line up. Anything more and you're at risk of destabilizing the balance of the team (yeah i know.....balance? Arsenal?)

Puts to bed the argument that Wenger will leave the club in a healthy state. I can see us in a situation Fergie left United, only much worse.

Midfield needs a huge overhaul, so much dross.

Here's a question. We sell the lot and buy Man City's squad. Does Wenger win the league?

Not sure myself but Everton wanted to buy him last summer and were ready to pay 30M according to the media.
