Worst ever Right Back performances

I hated Lennon, he was so inconsistent but every year without fail he'd fackin roast Evra who was probably a top 3 world left back at the time.

Ashley Cole was a weird one, he regularly had a stormer against Ronaldo and handled him so well, but would be roasted by Valencia every game when Ronaldo left

Montero vs Chambers was almost XXX-viewing, absolutely spit-roasted him.

Jenkinson vs United doesn’t stand out as much because they were all pathetic that day.

Unfortunately Eboue vs Wigan (?) doesn’t make the cut as I believe he came on at RM.

The worst RB performance from Liverpool had to be Skrtel vs. Middlesbrough in 2009. Back from beating Real away on the CL, Rafa somehow decided to play Skrtel as RB for the 1st time and was last time as well after realising it was a big mistake. Downing never had an easiest RB player to play against.

That season we finished 2nd and beat United 4-1. Only mistakes from Rafa (Boro game) and referees cost us the title.

Which referees decisions in particular?
--------
Stoke at Anfield. Scored a goal direct from freekick but ref disallowed it.

For me it is definitely Jenkinson. Everybody was terrible in the 8-2 but Jenkinson still somehow stood out as the weak link. He was diabolical. Can also remember Calum Chambers having a complete horror show in a 2-1 defeat to Swansea a few years ago.

Tell us more about these favourable decisions Billy? I'm intrigued.

Calum Chambers against Swansea in 2014. A staggeringly bad performance. Up against a one trick pony in Jefferson Montero, he was beaten all ends up tine and time again by a simple drop of the shoulder and shift. Hector Bellerin against Dortmund deserves an honourable mention. He looked hopelessly out of his depth there. I don't consider Carl Jenkinskon a footballer, so he doesn't make the list.

Gary Neville at West Brom when he was axed at half time? Think that was 2011/12, correct me if I'm wrong.

Not this season Billy. Spurs on the other hand....
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The worst example of ref bias towards us was when a ref refused to send 2 or 3 of our players off in one match because they were worried they'd be blamed for how our season panned out

Gary Neville, City v United, 2002.

Neville basically gave the ball to Shaun Goater in his own area, the Goat just slid it into the net.

Neville against West Brom when he got subbed at half time has to be the worst I've ever seen. I don't think I'll ever see worse.

Debuchy's last one before being dropped has got to be up there, possibly worse than Jenkinsons one if my alcohol destroyed memory serves me well.
