We got another point and we stay 5th. At worst
we''ll be 6th by end of day. No complaints from me.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
... and if Villa win and go ahead of us, Brizzle will be pulled back towards us
One thing about this league, it's never dull
Agree totally with that assessment Jonty.
Part of me would rather wait until summer
to give the club time to assess and have
some breathing room. But, while the iron's
hot and all that.
Here's to a brilliant 2018 (promotion as a bonus).
Our big problem is scoring goals.
Keep Woods and we'd be in top 2.
I bet that's the best Forest have defended all season! I noticed their keeper caught the ball from corners, crosses etc on numerous occasions where Wiedwald punched the ball out. I do wish Wiedwald would learn to catch! Oh, and I hope we send Lassogga back - he really is a poor striker and he doesn't seem to be getting any better. I noticed he won't tackle for the ball, he must be worried about getting hurt! Another 2 points lost today.
Saying that Jonty, watching Wood play for Burnley against top opposition, he had to be in the Prem.
He looks great up there. As does Charlie.

Woods and green we would... despite not playing great in most games
We chose to let them both go, it's down to us really.
Wood, you have a contract, we're doing something here, you're not leaving, transfer request refused, now knuckle down and help us achieve something special.
Simples.
Sky: "Do you need to strengthen, and where?"
TC: "That question goes to Victor" smiles and exits

Shows he doesn’t have much say on the matter - which is poor if you ask me.... It's cruel because the players who might have helped us over this hump are here, they're just injured. Last couple of matches would have been different with Vieira, Ekuban & Dallas available
No Jonny, its not naive, it's called strong management and Liverpool showed the world exactly how to do it with Coutinho.
Afraid, agree it's poor, very well handled from TC, no whingeing, straight answer with a smile.
I go the sense that TC isn't happy with this, but really put ball totally in Orta's court.
Now, we've known for months about LB and striker issues. If it was me, I'd have been working flat out on those, so that moment transfer window was open I could bring those players in.
If I couldn't find those players, I would not take second best, I'd try again and if the primary targets still didn't want to come I'd be either seeing if we could get them in summer or setting new primary targets for summer.
My gut feel though is that we're not going to spend much, if anything.
Not naive At all Jonny
Called weak management
Am I doing the old rose coloured glasses bit but in a game where we have two or three clear cut chances (not taken but still), we have the majority of the possession, the opposition have one shot on target which I think was a deflection.
How the hell was Bridcutt man of the match?
185, thought Saiz was better candidate.
Is it in the person spec for summarisers that they must hate Leeds. So many times they pointed out through that game that the Forest defence had had a good game, hardly mentioned how little we were under any sort of threat despite losing our right back and having Anita stand in.
Their defence was good because we were the better side. Samu MOTM.

Agree... Phil hay said pre match today that apparently the board have said not to expect too much transfer activity this month. Which is utterly ridiculous. Not even attempting to make an effort.
Not even attempting to make an effort.
------
Not making an effort at what exactly?
Goal was better than last season and we're dead on target for that, what extra effort is required when we're on target?
Your target appears to be different what AR has stated and stood by TC for.
We are some points and a number of matches off being able to make second. That takes a significant investment to achieve.I imagine that Orta and team have looked at option and not made no attempts at anything as you're suggesting, but probably found what is needed is not attainable and that we must focus on our stated goal.

Liverpool can offer Champion's League football and a buvket of wages.
Just maybe we are keeping our targets under the radar?
Expect the unexpected with AR. He’s a bit canny I think.

Yet Coutinho still wanted out.
What is on offer is irrelevant, how firm the club stand over honouring a contract is all that counts and 9 times out of 10 clubs make noises but take the money and blame the player.
Liverpool showed exactly how to say no, you're staying put.
How many indicators do people need that we will not be doing much this January?
Phil Hay is just reiterating what others have said previously.
Not expecting a top six finish this time around, big summer of activity again but also Saiz, Alioski and others will have had a year to bed in and I expect them to have improved.
My view is 2018/19 will be the year when the phoenix starts to rise again.
