I think, more hope, Victor makes the bench and maybe get 15 minutes tonight. I'm perhaps overly positive but I think we will have a good 2nd half season wise. All we need now is Toby to be fit and for Lloris to have a few less brain farts. COYS

If Kane has a knock then PLEASE can the club rest him and not risk him when we have Llorente who we signed as A VALID OPTION UP FRONT.

It annoys me how he is almost only ever used as a last five mins sub, and not a genuine starting option (Madrid game aside).

I know Kane is infinitely better but Llorente is a very decent player and we'll end up with a crocked Kane again!

A team that will park the bus. Desperate for points. SO i would have our quicker more attacking FBs on the pitch.

Other than that i'd go with your team, although would not be surprised if Poch made a bit of a surprise. May be Kane & Llorente both playing.

Llorente & Son struck up a really good partnership when they played vs Apoel, but may be we need to put the game to bed before making too many radical changes.

I want Aurier & Rose Vs West Ham at Wembley so have gone for the others for tonight.

I’d actually rather give KWP a go tonight over Trippier but that’s definitely not going to happen

leave Kane out so that he is back for those pikey caaants on Thursday. they always show up for spurs games. absolute pricsssss. would like nothing better than to beat them 5-0 on Thursday.

if we cannot beat Swansea without Kane then we might as well pack up, go home, and come back next season

Have you lost your love for Tripps then Hengy? Was it the City game or longer than that?

I must admit I was hoping he'd kick on this season with Walker gone but I'm not convinced he has.

Trippier was much better last season tbh.... not sure why, would have thought with the RB jersey genuinely up for grabs he would have kicked on.

maybe he is demotivated because he knows that Poch will rotate the full backs whether they play well or they don't, so it doesn't really matter

I’ve never been a fan. Tbh I wanted both Trippier & Davies replaced with new back ups 2 summers ago but didn’t realise we’d lose Walker & potentially rose instead

Just don’t think he’s athletic enough for a poch team.

A few months ago I would have disagreed, I really thought Tripps would take his opportunity. But he's just very inconsistent - he bossed that Madrid game, so he can do it, but then other games he looks off the pace and not good enough defensively (like against City).

Agree with Chronic though that Davies is quality. If we keep Rose then I'm very happy with those two as the two LB options.

Also, respect to Walker who left to win things, and who has improved and is smashing the league. I know that might sound weird from a Spurs fan but fair play to the bloke he's done very well.

I don’t begrudge walker at all. Gave us good service and is at the point he wanted to win things.

Like how he didn’t go celebrate when City was smashing us.

Trippier is 27 and main attribute is crossing a ball. KWP is clearly the future for us and needs to start getting games so I’m hoping we’ll move trips on next season and promote KWP.

Team for tonight

Lloris
Aurier Sanchez Verts Rose
Dier Dembele
Eriksen Dele Son
Kane

Team for the Spanners
Lloris
Aurier Sanchez Verts Rose
Dier Dembele
Eriksen Dele Son
Kane

They have all had seven days rest, they can all have another 10 days rest after the West Ham game.

Same team, both matches, absolutely have to nail six points. No time for messing about with rotation and team changes. The season is now getting full on. Any mistakes now will be fatal.

No it isn`t, but it is obviously that a lot of the players will be playing both games, so you may as well play them all and have done with it. Unless you are advocating playing a different XI in both games.

Are you suggesting for example Sanchez and Verts do not play both games, if so, who plays in their place. Are you suggesting Ali, Eriksen, Kane don`t play both games, if so who plays in their place?

Makes absolute sense to play the same team, then rest most of them for the Wimbledon match, and even that match some of them will have to play.

Basically the players will be playing their first matches for seven days, then a couple of games in quick time, then not another Prem game for 10 days. So basically is it too much to ask players to play from the 26th December to 20th January, just two matches. They aint getting fatigued on that amount of time on the pitch.

Honestly Chronic, why not just wrap them up and never let them play at all. I give up with you and wanting players rested all the time.

He can put himself through the pain barrier for a couple of games. I am not for given players excuses not to play. If he cannot turn out for two 90 minute games, then he need replacing.

So let`s set the scene, a rider in the Tour de France completes a tough day in the mountains, then says I think I will have a couple of days off and miss a couple of stages in case fatigue sets in.

A tennis player completes a five hour semi-final at a grand slam, then two days later when the final comes around, says I don`t think I can play in the final, in case fatigue sets in.

Only in football are players treated like wet blankets, and given the slightest excuse for not playing.

Sandy, those are totally different in that they're individual sports. Football has a squad of players for a reason. Because it's a team sport.

Also think about it from the manager's side. He has to try and keep a large squad of players all happy.
