Need more pace up front to stretch a packed defence, and no need to play two holding midfielders when West Ham were always gonna sit deep and play safe.

No point playing hundreds of no-pressure passes 30 yards out with 10 opposition players in the box, you'll never get through. Need more width, more directness and more pace to pull apart a tight defence like that.

Spurs could use a couple of quicker, more unpredictable flair players for matches like that.

Completely agree.

Best time to get at these teams is on the counter after they have an attack. I agree we need more pace for this and just generally move the ball more quickly than we do.

Wish we had someone like Mahrez or Zaha instead of Sissoko. Sissoko is one of the worst players that plays for the top 6 teams.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This, to think we wasted 30m on that Carthorse Sissoko and could of probably got Mahrez for a few million more, there was talk of 35m bids (before the inflation) a season or two back, same with Zaha 25m bids were mooted.

Need to be beating dross like Westham at home, we tonked them away.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah but the ref will have been heavily influencing the game in your favour, not the other way round.

50 million was the asking price for Mahrez in the summer.

Spurs do move the ball, especially from the back to midfield at incredibly slow pace, then it usually goes back again.

Hey Billy,

All 606 banter, rivalry, whatever you want to call it aside do you actually believe all the stuff you write about refs and media?

Genuinely interested.

Like when the ref openly admits to not sending Spurs players off 🤣

Agreed. Continues to play our worst ever players.

He's a great manager but Sissoko & Lamela are the worst players I've ever witnessed in a Spurs shirt.

Why play them?

To be fair to Billy, Spurs did have a couple of decent shouts for penalties tonight. On another day they may have been given.

But you shouldn`t be relying on penalties to win a game you dominated from start to finishing. Have to blame the poor finishing.

We dominated that match as well, more goals, more shots, more corners, more possession. So we didn`t get away with it at all.

The one where Dele was taken out by Adrian as he headed the ball is not only a foul its a yellow card anywhere else on the pitch but for some reason keepers are allowed to do it. However to have so much of the ball and create so few clear cut chances is pitiful and shows a real lack of creativity.

sandy they hit the woodwork twice and had restricted your lot to few shots going in to the last 15 minutes I believe.

Hitting the woodwork is like hitting the corner flag. it means SFA. You do know the ball has to go into the net to count.

Well I guess Sandy is going to say "Son was useless and Poch is stupid to play him" again, just like Tuesday!

I agree with everyone else on here that...
1. Sissoko was dead weight so we essentially played with 10 men for 75 minutes. In fact he was worse than usual. Why he wasn't off by half time is "perplexing".
2. Substitutes should have been on much earlier. Again, wot on earth is Pochettino thinking?
3. They parked the bus. But we lacked imagination to get them out of position. And we just don't have someone like Lionel Messi who can dance his way thru parked busses! Too bad!! Dembele should have been on, maybe?
4. Lamela gets an 8 minute cameo and does nuthin. Is that surprising? Give the poor fellow 20 and maybe he'll break their bus.
5. We really needed Danny Rose. Ben Davies centering was pants most of the time. One or two decent crosses when no one was there.
6. I like Serge Aurier. At least he knows what to do with the ball.
7.There were so many back passes that one has to wonder if Pochettino has a game plan. Son at least was going forward every time he got the ball. Vertonghen too.
Thank God for Son. He never gives up!

Well Clatterfack could easily have sent off Chelsea players in that game also, and its not like it helped us in any way, as we only drew the game.

The real key moments of refereeing bias come when a team gains points from poor decisions, like being allowed to score last minute offside winners to gain an extra 2 points for example

In any case, Clatterfack still owes Spurs for years of fack ups costing us points, most notably against United and Chelsea
