The fact he wants out mid season too is so funny. How often do these mega deals go through in January?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Last week.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You probably missed it Eric, but, em, we made our biggest signing in our history on 21st December. I think I know the reason why you missed it, but I will keep that one to myself.

You know, spare you any embarrassment
----------------------------------------------------------------------

£75m on a CB wasn't a good deal. Spurs United and City have all signed CB's as good as him for less than half that in last few years.

Coutinho is not a Liverpool fan and has supported Barca all his life like most Brazilians do.

He's been a great servant for us and we are making £130m profit on him.

Surprised we let him go in January but Barca were desperate and did their usual head turning classless tapping up they do with every player they want and probably told him to force the move.

We all knew he was leaving so the club must have a replacement lined up and if they don't then there should be riots

I wish the little magician all the best. Terrific player that deserves to be playing for one of the top 3 teams in the world

He's a great defender so I don't think you'll find too many of us bothered about the fee.

Of course he was going this window. You spent 75 mil so you had to sell or were already planning to sell. You have 75 mil left to get a replacement

You may be right FC, but, evidence?

Evidence? Didn't you buy vvd for 75 millones? Your owners don't throw cash around like United.

£30m and worth every penny. Different league to any CB in the league currently.

Great signing, similar money then to VVD now, hopefully he has the same impact.

Bailly and Stones are definitely in same bracket as vvd as in very good centre backs but not world class ones. Otamendi now starting to come good too.

No pl CBs are in the Rio, Terry, Vidic category now.

Apparently no contact has been made with Leicester over Riyad Mahrez. Liverpool might have someone else lined up....I hope so anyway
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Would love Mahrez, but didn't think for one minute that deal was possible.

If we signed Mahrez then Salah would probably move behind Firmino. That could work but I'd prefer we sign somebody to play in Coutinho's position.

Love the way everyone knows how good VVD is going to be in a proper team. He could become the best defender in decades you don't know so don't be premature and looking into your crystal balls.

posted on 6/1/18

Ah right I forget as soon as you lot sign a player he's immediately the best in the league.

He's the most expensive cb in the league, I don't think we can say he's the best. Not yet anyway. And we paid £45m less for Bailly who has been fantastic for us.

Like I said. Klopp fluffed the VVD deal up by getting caught being naughty and then selling Coutinho would have only compounded the issue. Don't make it out to be a master strike you kept him for 4 more months. Your club's ineptitude in the market did that.

The fact he wants out mid season too is so funny. How often do these mega deals go through in January?

Your club are still so mediocre off the pitch.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
FFS 🤣

It's mental how much Liverpool affects you on a daily basis,

The club has just been involved in a sale and a purchase that have set records, yet mediocre off the pitch?

Do you ever look at anything logically when commenting on Liverpool?

When we didn't get VVD we waited, brave move by Klopp that had people hammering him at points this season, yet we waited and got our main target.

Barca put huge pressure on Phil and on the club in the summer, especially late in the window, but we couldn't get a replacement so we dug in, kept Phil, and he's clearly done well, we are on target for our goals this season and sure you know how good he is or you wouldn't be jerking yourself off over this.

Fact is skip we made a mistake over VVD in the summer but since then have benn excellent in the market, and have money and several weeks now to plug the gap/s left by losing Phil with strong links to some very good players.

You're trying so hard to get something out of this for yourself when in reality there's nothing there to get you going skip.

He should just be ignored. He doesn't know a thing about football. Don't argue with an idiot and all that.

So you think Klopp being caught in a hotel with VVD wasn't small time and very unbefitting of your club?

Your club have been light years behind the big boys off the pitch for decades.

It's the complete lack of ability to say anything positive, through unwavering bias, about another club, yet attempt to speak on a subject and expect to be treated seriously.

Exactly

The money spent at the time was considered crazy. It he brought success to the club. I think VVD will do that for us. Don’t forget a fee of 200 million has just been shelled out for Neymar. The fee is not really a big deal now. Unless he is poo like Lovren of course

I say lots of positive things about your club. You play fantastic football if not slightly naive at times. Far better on the eye than my team currently.

You lot would put a spin on anything. Coutinho leaving in January, even if the fee is huge, isn't a good thing is it? Why not just say that?
