not a good move.

Latest from Rob Dorset at Sky Sports is that Liverpool are NOT interested in Mahrez and no contact has no been made between the two clubs
In addition... Leicester would now want far more than the 50m being mentioned.

The other thing everyone is forgetting is that Liverpool would be without 3 big money signings next january if they sign Mahrez

No we wouldn’t.

The afcon has switched to summers from now on so we won’t be losing anyone in the middle of a season now.

I though Mahrez was lazy long before anyone ever mentioned it. With work rate like Suarez he could be better than many players but he seems lazy to me.

Perhaps I'm biased but I can't remember him furiously chasing down the ball, interceptions, tackles, winning the ball etc like the rest of his teammates which is absolutely vital for an attacker in our team.

I don't want Mahrez personally because I feel he is not useful enough without us having possession but he's a fantastic player so I'd take him if Klopp wants him.

Is he gonna come off the bench?

I know its a squad game nowadays but still, he's not gonna be ahead of Mane or Salah in the pecking order

Seems weird to spend 55m on a squad player, but hey what do i know

Leicester pointedly said "no official contact"

Not "no contact". Beware the ambiguity.

For Liverpool to sanction the move without a replacement just wouldn't happen.

So there is a replacement in the pipeline. Bit of smoke here for Mahrez, he can play in the champions league, not cuptied for the FA Cup, and doesn't need any time to get used to the Premier League.

For me this is a done deal.

In what sense is it a done deal?!!

Rob Dorset has come out this morning and said there has been no contact between the clubs. Given the amount of time it can take to agree terms of it was a done deal then the clubs would have been speaking before Coutinho was going to be sold

Has he failed the medical?
