Terrible Deal For Arsenal

How are Arsenal bending over for United? Have you seen what they are offering him.

Alexis is being offered the same money as Messi and C.Ronaldo! Just think about it for a second. Alexis hasn't finished in the top 5 of FIFA player of the year award. What makes him worth so much money?

Most United fans will have you believe that they're paying Sanchez minimum wage and talk of 400k a week is all fake news

It's not a bad deal for Arsenal. In exactly 10 days, his value would have dropped to £0!
Keeping him wouldn't have helped us achieve more than what Mhiki and possibly Auba can.

In exchange, we are getting a player which we were after 2 seasons ago. Same player which we would have to pay £35M minimum to get him in 6 months.

"A side step for Sanchez, Arsenal and Man u are about the same level."

It is a sidestep. But United, as rubbish as they are, are actively trying to get better.
You have to take that into consideration.
I think Sanchez was frustrated and just wanted out no matter what.

He's got no chance winning the league at utd
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Not this season he hasn't. Then again he wouldn't have really won it for City. Only 15 games left and they've already won it. It would have never felt like he'd won it there this year.

Nor next year or the year after.

Mkhi may be a decent player. But honestly I've never really seen the fuss.

You would have, if you had watched the Bundesliga when he played for Dortmund.

That's a good one Mr Chelsea

Anyone here knows as much as anyone else here in what Alexis is getting. The press have listed anything between £350k to £600k. United fans would like to think he's getting paid at the lower spectrum and non-United fans would love it to be higher end.

posted on 21/1/18

To be honest I don't even care anymore even if he was getting paid £500k a week. The money in football is ridiculous.

posted on 21/1/18

Everyone knows that the package he will receive will be worth £500,000 / week. That's the figure being report by the ITK's.

You're right no one knows exactly. Most journos are saying 350k to 400k. The problem is United fans are acting like its way off that figure when it's not and that United would NEVER double the wage of Pogba for another player. We all know the huge sums involved in this transfer so why waste time denying that he's not getting paid a silly wage.

posted on 21/1/18

As there is no transfer fee involved anymore, or if there is, it's a pretty paltry £15m, Man Utd can afford to pay him a huge wage, all in it's going to be £500,000 / week.

posted on 21/1/18

And what's funny is when United fans say that their club would never double the 200k a week wages of Pogba for someone else, they're admitting that the reports of 200k a week for Pogba are accurate then when in reality they probably contested that aswell when Pogba signed as newspaper rubbish.

posted on 21/1/18

Just to add, most fans of clubs are guilty of this. Rubbishing all newspaper reports for no good reason

posted on 21/1/18

Mr Chelsea, most seem to put it between 350-400k. Most United fans I've seen think it's 350k. So no one is acting like it's way off that figure. That seems to be something you are attributing to the fans. Double of Pogba's wage would be 500k+; I doubt that (Sanchez wage) to be the case and we don't even know the break down of the wages.

What this story has shown is that the press is very unreliable in these and pluck figures to generate a story. The longer it drags on, the more they embellish it. And stories aren't covered evenly on transfers. Take a look at VVD transfer to Liverpool. Wage hardly mentioned in the total of the deal. Initial reports had United paying £35m + Mhiki. Then £20m + Mhiki and then we find out from Mhiki's agent that its a straight swap.

Yes I see your point CurrentlyInChina.

I do agree with your point regarding the breakdown of transfers. They pick and chose when wages are including and when they are not. We've had it for years with Chelsea transfers. Doesn't bother me.

posted on 21/1/18

Actually, Pogba's wage is reportedly 260-280k. Again, the breakdown of this is unknown (is that the base wage, total, including or excluding image rights, bonuses, etc.).

The same would be for Sanchez.

The club and the agents don't release those figures.

City were supposedly going to pay Sanchez 300k plus a higher signing on fee he's getting from United if he joined them last summer. Again, that's just paper talk.

posted on 21/1/18

United, Chelsea and City do get that. Should be obvious why.

posted on 21/1/18

Also, reading on the BBC, they list Sanchez being bought for £35m and Mhiki for £26 point something million. Most reported Sanchez as £40m+ and Mhiki at at least £30m. If the press cannot agree on the figures, how are we to actually agree on them? Fans will take the lower fee to feel good and opposition fans will take the higher fee.

But in the end, it doesn't matter really. It doesn't really affect us fans in any way.
