Well! We've got him back. Rejoice.

You say that 3R, but where is he? I think he may have popped off again.

Ignis fatuus, that's what he is, and you can tell him from me if you see him.

A will of the wisp. He'll be back he knows he is among friends.

I agree with Ang <ypes>

Call him a T\/\/AT then move on.

Players and managers surrounding the ref or fans misplacing a boo at the end is just embarrassing.

posted on 23/1/18

Why not boo Vyddi or Tom or Winnal for losing the points. They are more to blame.

posted on 23/1/18

Correct Iwas, the referee made an error which cost us a penalty which we weren't forced to score. Vydra missed a really good chance to score and Vydra is paid a hell of a lot more to do his job properly than the referee.

Spart:

You appear to be overlooking the equally well paid individual doing his best to prevent Vydra from doing his job.

Unless there was somebody being paid a few hundred quid to run around on the pitch obscuring foul play with one of those big sheets they shoot horses behind that argument falls down somewhat...

How do you work that one out Fridge. The ref made an error and Vydra made an error both of which had a major influence on the result. If we blame one then we must blame the other.

Also as for being paid equally well, I doubt if the sum total of Bristol's second choice goalkeeper, a Bristol defender and the refs wages are anywhere near as much as Vydra's.

How do you know?

Maybe Vydra was so keen to play at the home of football (according to 666 at least) that he's on the minimum wage?

Do you want to bet your house on that Scouse. I would be happy to bet my house on my statement.

Spart, if you follow your argument to its conclusion then footballers should be subject to the same disciplinary process as the rest of us when it comes to poor performance.
Verbal, Written and Final written warnings then out the door.
Thorne misplaced several passes on Friday and blazed a shot woefully wide.
He gets a verbal for the first error- missed pass. When he does it again only minutes after receiving his verbal warning then that's just showing management that you've taken no notice of the verbal warning. So Rowett calls him over and hands him his written warning. But Thorne's having none of it and gives the ball way again. This is an obvious case of wilful disobedience and can only result a gross misconduct charge resulting in a final written warning and termination of employment.
But the manager is willing to give him one more chance because he's been such a good employee only for Thorne to blaze a shot high wide and handsome. A course of action that Rowett can only see as the equivalent of a middle fingered gesture. He has no choice now, he has to show strength in front of the other employees or they'd all be doing it.
Thorne can have no complaints and is sacked on the spot.

Seems sensible to me.

Ref made an error of judgment. Vydra didn’t make an error of judgment, he didnt execute a physical action as well as he wanted to. They aren’t comparable. Vydra could have done the exact same thing and if the goalie had not got a leg on it we would be applauding his fine finishing. His decision-making, that is to try to kick it into the net, was sound.

Spart knows nowt, as if we needed telling.

So an error is only an error if it's an error of judgement then Vydra. Is that always your defence at the GMC. High time you were struck off for the sake of the good people of Shropshire.

posted on 23/1/18

Vydra also made an error of judgement to play to the far post when the near post shot was easier. Using your criterion he deserves to be booed.
