Tbf to the Ref. The way CJ dived took my eye off any contact from Flint. He made it look like there wasn’t any contact.
It’s entirely possible Heb. The 80’s is all pretty hazy.
If I had, how would I be able to tell?
Rule No 1 doesn’t apply in this case. Every one has tasks to perform on the pitch. A striker to stick the ball in the back of the net. Yes Vidal, there is a goalie, that’s an occupational hazard for a striker. If he scores then his observational and coordination skills have worked well, if he doesn’t then they have worked less well to whatever degree, sometimes the keepers legs, sometimes the corner flag. Same as the ref.

So an error is only an error if it's an error of judgement then Vydra. Is that always your defence at the GMC. High time you were struck off for the sake of the good people of Shropshire.

Vidals' isn't actually Vydra.

Glad you told me that, I would never have known. Now get back to your burger and fries.
If a cow charges at Spart, knocks him to the ground and jumps up and down repeatedly on Spart’s prostrate body until a tranquillising dart renders it unconscious, and Spart survives the ordeal, has the cow made an error? I would argue strongly that it hasn’t and that it should be congratulated for having made a correct decision and done its best to bring its aim to fruition. We are letting the outcome cloud our assessment of the action.
Whatever way you look at that Vidal, the cow failed in its mission. It should have focused on the more critical areas of Sparts body rather than liberally jumping up and down on him. It’s the Bovine equivalent of Connor Sammon.
It may have failed Iwas, but that does not necessarily constitute error. Yes, maybe if it had targeted this organ, or that organ, the outcome might have been more satisfactory, but we are all wise with retrospect. Nobody could find fault with the overall reasoning of the cow in such a situation and as in Vydra’s case, if the outcome had been different we would all be eulogising over the quality of its finishing.
I have a small "fold" of Highland Cattle. They are rarely, if ever enraged, may occasionally kick, but do not use people as trampolines. So far anyway
I once laid a cow out with my drive on the 1st hole at minchinhampton common.
Hit a very low drive very hard ... got it right on the head and watched as it keeled over.
Bu88er made me drop a shot!
I’m guessing they have yet to meet Spart though Heb.
I visited a friend in Intensive Care and asked him what had happened. He said he had been playing golf with his wife and she sliced her drive into a field of cows. He went off to try to find the ball and discovered it lodged in the cow’s rear parts. He said the last thing he remembers was lifting up the cow’s tail and calling to his wife: “This one looks like yours, love!’

Hard to blame the cow for kicking out, some idiot had hit it square on the head a week earlier and now the backside.
Spart probably looks like a golfer wearing the white slacks, little wonder the cows are a little touchy.
