The truth behind the owners of City

Another key member of the team is the Australian Simon Pearce, also a Manchester City director, and Abu Dhabi’s head of strategic communications. Pearce made his name at the public relations firm Burson-Marsteller, whose work with clients such as Nicolai Ceaucescu, Blackwater and Union Carbide led to the famous quote “when evil needs public relations, evil has Burson-Marsteller on speed-dial.”

Shock horror, an Aussie spin-doctor trying to make a Manchester club look good. Who'da thought.

Disagree Robb I don't think football fans really care where the money is coming from if it's making the club win stuff.

United fans protesting the Glazers is completleydifferent as that was around money being taken out of the club, if the same lads that own City sold up tomorrow and bought united, and unveiled Messi as their first signing do you really think united fans would be protesting?

Slight strawman there but you get my point.

No way, Glazers aint as bad as them pair though, I just don't get the stance you seem to be taking on city and where th emoney comes from, if it wasn't City you wouldn't give a f__k

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Close to £1bn now that has gone out of the football club in debt repayments and interest payments.

1 BILLION !!!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I know, I meant in terms of running a club, I think united fans were right to portest that, luckily for united they earn enough and have still been competitive, not many clubs could afford anywhere close to that coming out of the club and still be a top side.

I feel sorry for the City fans after reading this. Must be gut wrenching knowing you follow a club which seems to be rotting from the core

The bit about the video of him torturing his business rival is mental.

We're all much safer being working stiffs and arguing on here.

I didn't know you were from the Palestine region? Where abouts?

There's barely anything left of Palestine after Israel have illegally stole the entire region anyway.

LQ just brought Munich up on a friendly harmless banter debate with me on the bertie board. Just ignore the clown from now on. He's shown his true colours.

No I brought up your clubs profiting from the anniversary match and as frank swift was one of our own I have as much right to say I think united acted terribly.

You looked stupid their just as you do going on about human rights all the time ignoring the glazers and uniteds deal with Saudi Arabia not stop chatting sheyite stretty.

I wonder if the next KDB was Israeli would City be willing to buy him?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Surely not.

I might change my mind though if I found out they'd appointed a prominent Jewish executive and community leader president of honour and strategic development advisor.

Doubt that'll ever happen though.

Who gives a feck, we are here for the football, not the politics.

Most billionaires have done bad things to gain such fortunes.

Profited how? I didn't pay for my red and white scarf, It was left on my seat for me for free. And I will treasure it forever.

United have done a lot of the families of Munich disaster. You'd know if you weren't drenched in bitteritis.

Don't bring Munich up again. I don't mind the banter, I rather enjoy it, but there's no need. Especially with how much crap you said too. As If United look to milk the most important piece of our history with all the money we already have. Cretin.

Firstly stretty you don’t tell me what to do so get that into your head straight away.

We lost one of ours I will talk about whatever I please.

You allowed sponsorship of the posters advertising the anniversary match and tried to charge more to the tv companies for showing it, an act that was widely critisized by united fans respect to them for that.

You trying to turn me into mocking a disaster is you being stupid because you can’t differentiate between things some thing you continually do on the city and united board.

Playing the mocking a tragedy card shows how truly thick you are, as a born an bred Mancunian I can telly you that you really don’t have a clue lad.

Haha, I don't mind him so much. At least he is pushing for innovative technologies and human well being.

My experiences with most things Virgin (media aside) is very good.

Surprised the English media haven't kicked up a stink about this like they with the Qatar World Cup
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I remember back in 2004 when it was muted that then Prime Minister of Thailand, Thaksin Shinawatra was interested in buying Liverpool, there was moral outrage in the media about the prospect of such a thing happening..
The objections varied from human rights abuses, murder squads operating within Thailand in their anti drug war,to how many pair of shoes his wife had.
How can a club like Liverpool even contemplate getting involved with this man they cried.
Fast forward 3 years, he buys City, and the media narrative changes somewhat, to 'ah bless', 'little old man city might be getting a few bob, good on them'.

It wasn’t though, we got a lot of negative press (and the pl did in general) when Shinawatra bought us.

Every single business or corporation that has or is successful has done so by doing heinous things.

No one gets anywhere by being nice and that also includes footballers.
