The Glazers pump money into Israel so I don't think we can get on our high horse about dodgy football owners.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yea but Israel are the good guys......................

I am still waiting for Arab to explain this one.
The Glazers are not know for pumping money anywhere, unless it is a business interest.

I read on a newspaper article a few months back they make daily donations to Israel, I can't seem to find it now after researching and trying to remember where it was from for the last two hours.
I saw that comment, I don't agree, the King made you who you are.

Wouldn't be unusual for a Jew to invest money into Israel. I know he funded the building of a synagogue in the USA. What sort of donations did you read he was making?

That doesn't contradict anything I said earlier.
Anyway, if you're referring to the bestowing of a title, that's all wrong. "Real" is commonly taken to mean "Royal", but in actual fact has the same meaning as the word in English, i.e. "real".
The king saw us play once and thought it would be worth pointing out "real Madrid" as opposed to "fake (Atlético) Madrid".
The rest, as they say, is history.
These threads always leave me with despair.
Most fans of their respective club, when reading something that represents a valid criticism or concern of their club in some respect, have an immediate reaction that ignores the issue and slings mud back at the person who raises it.
For example, if I criticise a player for diving, the response might be 'well Ashley Young dives'.
It's pathetic.
Why can't people discuss a topic without this childish nonsense?

There is not a supporter of any club including City who fails to recognise the reinvention of the club.
City are by recent history prior to the takeover a well supported yo-yo club who occasionally put in the odd fantastic performance. Now they are an alleged football superpower on the back of a country/regime funded and sponsored team. Yes they are a rich Sheffield Wednesday but can only put 11 players on the pitch at any time.
A million quid is probably lost every week in the nhs through poor management alone

Hey! I'm an NHS manager and I'm not wasting any money... ...oh hang on, I'm sitting here on JA606. :D
(In all fairness, I'm waiting for a large process to run before I can continue with anything).

Get back to work
With some hospitals paying £150 a week to hire bariatric beds for the criminally obese it is no surprise that there is a casual attitude to everything there.
You would think that this organisation would be able to procure materials at fantastic prices by ensuring exclusivity yet incredibly they cannot get their heads together to perform such a straightforward negotiation.
Compared to Carillion and their ilk, they are paragons of virtue.

I agree with a lot of that to be honest. The one caveat I would say is that we weren’t traditionally a yo-yo club, we turned into that through a local businessman taking money out of our club continously for two decades. That never seems to be mentioned (understandably as most people won’t know, or are of an age where they only experienced us as a yo-yo club). The point still remains that both our success now and our failures previously were due to the actions of owners. Something that happens all the more now with the money in the game.
