They are justifying the new badge by saying "hey we asked the fans", that is exactly why it is so bad. Football fans are not the brightest bunch, so if you ask them to design something you are likely to get something idiotic.

Leeds fans weren't asked to design anything.
Leeds fans didn't design anything.
They had no input into the design process.
There were no focus groups on potential designs.
They were asked questions about the identity of LUFC and some marketing fookwits took that data and came up with this $hite.
It would have been better for them to have created a few designs from looking at the clubs history and taking in it's location and then asking the fans which they liked. This reminds me about the time Bradford University and college merged and they spent £20k on thinking up names and what they got were three names which basically said the same thing (The University of Bradford, Bradford University, and forgot the third)....
They've treated us like customers. Sent out some surveys "what image do you associate with Leeds?" 80% say salute. And then the designers who aren t Leeds fans or probably not even football fans, decide that means we want this one a badge.
If there's ever an argument to have fan input on the board this is it. Club tried to keep it secret so they could so big PR unveal. Should have been open and said we're changing the badge, what do you think, here's some options.
Worrying thing is Rad will have signed off on it, and no one in the whole process saw that thing and laughed.
City fans had some input on our recent badge change. It seems we were given better options than you poor tykes
They should come up with 4 designs, I've seen loads of good ones in the last 24 hours and let members vote on it....its not difficult

Uh?
The way the last few games have gone, we should have a shield with "ref rampant" bearing a red card!
It was a case of 10,ooo being asked questions and when the one was asked about what stands out the most about Leeds United, more answered the Leeds Salute and not enough the Ridsdale dream or Yorkshire Rose!..
So some dimpimp came up with a headless Leeds Salute!..
Rubber stamped by who knows it could be the man that had the idea, but whatever, its turned out to be one off the biggest backfires in the clubs history!..

Having been one of the people who was consulted over the new #lufc badge I can say I think the logo looks fantastic and it differentiates from any other club #pride #mot
I have heard from a good source that the new design was shown to one LUST member who thought it was great and since LuST has thousands of members they all liked it! 😆
