Basically press the feck out of them. Get all up in their faces and force them into mistakes.
Liverpool can do it as it's a part of their playing approach...I highly doubt you guys have the mentality to pull it off successfully
You’ve played City 3 times in the league being embarrassed twice at home I believe.
Yeah - like Firminio said above - when you press them they tend to lose their unit integrity and show signs of panic
But with Alexis it will be more effective this time around...So:
Keeping Possession - we screwed this one up the last time when playing at OT!
Track very effectively when they are moving forward
De Bruyne is key - Turn him off
Hit them quickly and clinically on the breaks
I wonder if those that voted have offered an opinion.
We’ll show you at Wembley

Perhaps you need to get in touch with the eye gouger as he seems pretty clueless
Didn’t Klopp get over Pep in Germany by continually playing the long ball to bypass the high press. Obviously you can’t do this all the time as Pep will adapt, but Pep clearly likes to play a certain way and there are ways to go around it if he isn’t prepared for it.
Clearly Cardiff adopted the Spurs approach and tried to break some legs, I assume that Spurs will do more of the same at Wembley, but I think the long ball that United tend to adopt may disrupt City.

In our game at OT City scored from two defensive mistakes and we missed a great chance to score ourselves
Not saying we were great on the day but it wasn’t some master class from them that left us scratching our heads on how to beat them. We just have to defend better and take our chances next time. Simple as that.
Do we agree man marking KDB would be a good idea ?

You don’t have anyone good enough to do it
Why couldn't a defender do it ?
I’ve learned from Jose:
8-2-0 formation getting a goal from the 1 corner we get as a result of a 55 yard shot going through the fingers of coty’s Keeper. Then keep it tight.
#tactical genius.

I wouldn’t.
See, the City fans don't want us to man Mark KDB.
It would be suicidal to use one of your defenders to man mark KdB, you would be down to ten men in no time.
Well, speaking as a city fan, I would want you to.
Keep a strong shape and then counter on the wings and get crosses in to Lukaku is how I would play it if I wanted United to win. If you man mark one or two of our players, then that gives us an overload elsewhere, which is exactly what us moving the ball is designed to do.
But KDB is your standout player. Limiting his influence has to be a good thing. Just like when Ji Sung Marked Pirlo out the game.
You could put Herrera or Jones in Cm to man mark KDB - would be a good tactic

Not when silva is playing he isn’t, kdb tends to go deeper depending on the opposition.
Keeping shape is far more important and then pressing all of the midfield but in unison.
Thank you Robb.
I recall Jones or Herrera being laudes for a.fine man marking display quite recently. Maybe against Hazard ?
De Bruyne is key - Turn him off

I still think David Silva is more important for City than De Bruyne. He makes them tick in a way nobody else can.
