To be fair to Mahrez, he's wanted to leave since winning the PL.
They have let the other key figures bar Vardy go (because Vardy turned Arsenal down) so he deserves the same respect.
I'd be annoyed if I was told i could go to Roma for around 40m in the summer past.
City come in well over that and it a no, i'd down tools as well and he has every right to.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I get confused about this issue of respect.
The issue isn't that Leicester aren't letting him go - it's that nobody has rated him enough to put in a decent bid.
Vardy and Kante had release clauses
We had Chelsea's pants down with the Drinkwater valuation.
What's supposed to happen? Just because Mahrez wants to go the club accept the first paltry offer made from a top 6 club that want him to sit on their bench?
Is that respect?
Club have valued him around £100 million
Sky can trot out all the ex players and pundits they like
Saying best for him and Leicester to sell
Id like to see psg offer £100million for somebody
Man city or Chelsea rate as £180 million and see if they all que up and tell them to let him go so he can play with better players ect
And the other player has not been named so he's carp
If it goes through we should do our paperwork first
Or put a clause in if our paper work don't go through deal off
I do wonder whether Mahrez will be angry at a £50m+ bid being rejected after it was strongly suggested that he could go for that in the summer. But on the other hand he should be alarmed at a club only being interested because their first choice is out for a couple of months.
I thought it was always £70 million
I stated in several places they've had over a month
Alarm bells should be ringing in his head
On the other side
Imagine training with that squad you'd have to improve
Just by being with them let alone putting in some effort,
Id go just to spend 12 months training

Behave! That was in the summer, the ante has been upped now with VVD at £75M, Coutinho at £100M+ etc - a different market. Are you seriously suggesting Mahrez is now only worth a miserable £40M when compared with those figures?
I think Mahrez will be so desperate to leave he'll go to any of the top six even if, on the face of it, his playing time might be limited. I doubt that playing time, or how keen the buying club are to get his signature, will enter his thinking.
It's easy to imagine that he won't get much action at Man City once Sane recovers from injury, but I've already been surprised at how much progress Sterling has made since he made the move from Liverpool. It might be that they can get best out of him which, as we know, is a pretty high level (even if, at the moment it's very inconsistent).

Joby - Sterling is a great player when the whole team do his job for him. Don’t forget Mahrez will need to be his competent bag carrier like the rest of the City team.
Sterling hasn’t stepped on, he’s just playing with better players that create more for him as everyone knows he’s the first man to leave out of all of them! Still a woeful finisher! His finishing reminds me of Okazaki a bit...

Mangala or Joe Hart perhaps?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No thanks.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Joe Hart isn't going to improve the starting XI at Leicester and Mangala is supposed to be going on loan to Everton
Brahim Diaz seems the likeliest fit, in so far that the is the closest thing to a L4L replacement we have who would be considered expendable
He'd probably be valued at £10m and then tag on the £55m cash
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Are you fecking kidding? Brahim is worth a heck of a lot more than £10M and he wouldn't want to go.
Joby - thats my gall about all of this. That Citys bid comes in so late, and weve got no time to set up a suitable replacement. City werent interested in Mahrez
till Sane got injured. Instead of giving a reserve a
chance they just splash out another 55 million and offer
that reserve as part of the deal (probably witha sell
on clause as per the Ian deal)
In the meantime we either get a player we woulknt
have been interested in,or buy a last minute panic buy.
buy.
In the meantime what happens to Riyad once Sane is fit again. The bench is calling. Maybe his agent/advisor
should have been advising him on this, but all they
are interested in is what money is in it for them.
If he is at Knutsford Services, he will probably meet
up with bus loads of Leicester fans ( and man City)
and he wont be that far from Goodison.
Well thats my war and peace and somethings
probably happened.

Sterling has been a 1 in 3 finisher this season which is ,much better than Aguero who was a 1 in 5 finisher.
He's not going to Man City just breaking!
This stupid Arsenal bint is clueless.
What you reckon Mahrez turns up tonight at Everton and scores the winner
If Man City rate Ihanacha at 25million. They've got to expect to be paying around 100 for Mahrez
Apparently we have over priced him
As city say there not interested
How dare a little club turn around to one of the big boys
And stick up 2 fingers 🙄
He's going to get some awful ribbing and taunts from the players for a few day's
Id imagine tomorrow they will play invisible man to start,
I also expect city to come back at 8/9 pm
With a £70/ 75 million cash offer
needs to get his head down and continue his current form until the end of the season then adios!
Dublin
Neh they will leave it till 10.30

I've been miserable all day at the thought that I had seen Riyad in a Leicester shirt for the last time, and now, maybe, just maybe there is some hope he may stay.
The best player I have ever seen play for Leicester bar none. A magician who can turn a game with a piece of sublime magic that no-one else in our squad can even dream of.
It will be a very, very sad day when he leaves.
well it wont be a surprise when he does that's for sure so at least you have another 4 + months to prepare yourself mentally !
So you’re saying Sterling is a better finisher than Aguero Supa?
Fair enough.
Well done to Leicester for not bending over to that bald succubus
Feel sorry for Pep. He may now be forced into doing some management.
