The back 3 needs Luiz to make it work, none of the others are adventurous enough to go into the midfield.

Baffling why after being so good last season, Conte isnt interested this season.

Christensen can play from the back too !! Luiz has been injured for a good part of the season, and he’s been in and out of the team recently. If it was up to me I would have

Azpi - Christensen- Rudiger. Cahill should be used only for emergencies.

Christensen plays from the back, doesn't go into midfield like Luiz.

Which is why Rafa shifted him into DMF as he was too much of a liability. History repeats itself.

It's the back three I advocate the most for us...down to agility mainly
Rudiger has shown in a short time he's the best we have in that position now & Luiz for me is better in midfield...or he would be if Conte fackin played him there...next to Kante

Cahill is too slow these days..& i'd look to be getting shot of him in summer...Capt or not

Interesting you should say that, the article seemed to suggest Chelsea concede a lot more per game with Luiz in the defence than the others.

I must admit, I do tend to be more concerned if he's facing our lot in defensive midfield than at centre back.

I’d say Cahill by a country mile then followed by Luiz , but in fairness to Luiz he’s been injured for most part of the season

Cahill is average, pops up with the odd goal but he is too submissive, always on the retreat.

Would much prefer to see Ampadu start.

This year he’s been below the required standards. Last season he’s pop in with a couple of decent goals tho

Oh not denying he's past it but imo there has been worse players. Even against watford cahill backed off but imagine he went for the tackle and gave away pens, would be even worse.
Whether as luiz's mistakes seem to get forgotten. (roma, atletico etc)

Love what cahill has done for the club, was a great servant and was very good for a few years. Is now past it imo. I don't know why being objective makes someone a.)a fan boy and b.) want to cry...

Oh wait it's wahl. I'm sorry thought I was talking to a human.

Luiz has not covered himself glory either, at least he is a threat and helps our attack with his long range passes
