He's hurting himself. This is a great fight to get his name out there and earn big money in the future. If Fury beats jim, he ain't getting a title shot for a while and may have to go back to fighting Chisora.

The fact that people are talking about his no shows means it is working. If it hits Fury and Warren PPV pockets then even better because it seems he feels that he is not getting enough money.

They won't be talking about him for long, especially if Fury beats him easily.

Anyone no showing well get people talking, doesn't mean it's working in generating more interest, I wasn't too fussed about who wins but hopefully fury sends him bk to irrelevance

I saw that.

It was clear from the video that the guy was clearly on some sort of substance and was antagonising Mike to get a reaction for the video. It's unfortunate that guys like this exist and can go around behaving in this way, without any real consequences. Mike obviously had enough and attacked the guy, although having seen what I have seen from Mike, it was clear that he was holding back. Does it make what Mike done OK, of course not, you can't go around assaulting people because they are annoying you. It does however bring me some joy to see guys that poker a tiger for long enough, finally get a poke or scratch back.

I fancy Whyte to pull off a shock win against Fury with that big left hook of his. I don't like what I've seen from Fury in the build up, not convinced he's really focussed on this one. Whyte on the other hand will want this bad.

Fury via UD in a scrappy and ugly fight. I think Fury will box from a distance early on but as the fight goes on, he will start clinching and leaning on Whyte.

Whyte MUST target the body but that's easier said than done and his footwork isn't great, which Fury will expose. I would be surprised if Whyte and Fury both get dropped in this fight but I can't see Whyte having the IQ or gas tank to get the points decision.

I seriously doubt this fight goes to cards, especially not with SugarHill in Tyson's corner. Maybe if Ben Davidson was still with him telling him what to do in fights. But the Kronk style is all about getting that KO.

posted on 22/4/22

Kronk style has only been displayed against one opponent. I suspect Fury will not be as haphazard as he was in the Wilder fight, as he knows that Whyte can actually box.

Interesting weigh in results.

Fury coming in at 264lbs
Whyte coming in at 253lbs

Just for context, both guys last 2 fights:

Fury vs Wilder 3-Fury weighed in at 277lbs
Fury vs Wilder 2-Fury weighed in at 273lbs

Whyte vs Povetkin 2-Whyte weighed in at 247lbs
Whyte vs Povetkin 1-Whyte weighed in at 247lbs

Looks to me like Fury has come in light so he can box and move for 12.

And Whyte coming in heavier looking for that big KO.

Only because SugarHill has only been in Tyson's corner for one opponent. If Tyson is sticking with SugarHill for this fight then I don't see him just jabbing and moving all night. He's said that he's going for the KO and I believe he will go for it in the mid to late rounds if/when he's softened Whyte up a bit.

Most fighters say that they are going for the KO but actually executing is a different story. I expect Fury to win this but I'd be surprised if he KOs Whyte.

There's too much ill feeling between these two big men for it to go the distance in my opinion. Someone's getting knocked out tomorrow night.

There is no ill feeling. Both men respect each other and both will respect each others ability in the ring.

No ill feeling ?? Blimey you clearly haven't been watching all the Fury and Whyte personal interviews that I have in the run up. They must be world class actors if it's all fake.

Of course it was fake

They both finally saw each other in person and there was no animosity. Even at the weigh ins, everything was cordial and John Fury managed to calm himself down too. Both guys know what's at stake and neither need to waste energy on creating fake drama.

Bare in mind, Whyte has been Furys sparring partner for a few fights and both guys clearly have a professional relationship that goes back to there earlier days in the sport. I actually reckon they will probably be friends after this fight, if they are not already.
