Fury is finished the big dosser
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Legacy pretty much ruined by Usyk. The "little middleweight rabbit" beat him up twice.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And to me this just shows how bad this era has been. He's fought bigger blokes and been too good for all of them.
Forget Mike Tyson, Hollyfield and Lennox.....there was a good 4/5 other fighters of that era that would probably beat Usyk.
It's been poor standard for a long long time now.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Usyk is a high quality fighter and would do well in any era. I said before I wouldn't rule him out beating Lewis either during his era. I do agree that the likes of Fury have been overrated and aren't as great as they may seem. Look at how Joshua's career has crumbled and he was seen as one of this era's best a few years ago.
Itauma is Britain's best hope now of producing an elite HW in this era.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We’re making the same mistake with Itauma aren’t we? Hyping him beyond belief before he’s done anything
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We're hyping him yes but given his age and stories about him, I'm not surprised. I mean he was sparring and getting the better of pro boxers like Joyce and Dubois as a schoolboy. The signs look better with him than it did the other guys.

Winning by four rounds is relatively tight in the sense that just two tights rounds have to be called differently for a draw. And there were maybe 5 that were quite close.
It wasn't a hammering, it was close fight but Usyk had a definite edge in nearly all the tight rounds for me, so, 8-4.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's amazing how many people don't get this, anyone who had Usyk winning (which seems to be most people) you must've given him 7 rounds, so how are so many people surprised that the judges gave Usyk one more round than their own score?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think folk are surprised all 3 judges scored it by 4 rounds. Although I have no qualms with the scoring, I thought at least one judge would have had it closer.
Not sure what Team Fury are whinging out tbh.

You do have a point about all three scorecards. Normally there's a rogue score in there.

That said, I'm not sure on how good the competition is going to be for Itauma in the near future. There aren't many resounding talents out there and most of the top ones are beyond their peaks.

If I were Usyk I'd retire but he wouldn't be Usyk if he thought that way...
So I assume they'll impose Dubois II on him as a unification. Likes of Parker, Okolie, Zhang etc will queue behind him.
Eddie will desperately grovel and beg Brick Top to get AJ v Fury on in UK in some battle of brits nonsense, with some delusion he AJ can win and then take on Usyk again in his err....5th rehab effort - unsure if Fury wants it tbh. Would take massive payday to happen and fan interest has likely waned considering it's now a plate trophy match at best.

Not even good enough to beat Tommy Fury and Tommy recently shat himself against an ex UFC fighter. That's the sort of gap in levels we're talking.

They at least seem more on a level playing field now they have both lost twice to Usyk each. I mean if Fury had won and they talked about matching him with Joshua it would seem a bit of a mismatch to me, given AJ just got demolished by Dubois.
