Also Guv, AJ quit, ref gave him ample time and he spat his gumshield out and leaned back, he said in his interview after that he’d had enough for one day which is fair, a good man knows when they are beat

Don't understand why losing a fight is considered such a taboo in boxing, most of the all time greats have lost fights before, all this " protect the 0 " is BS, Chisora's lost about 10 times and still one of my favs because he just fights everyone and goes to war losing is no big deal, sometimes it can make you even better
---------------------------------------
I hate the protecting the 0 nonsense as well. Sugar Ray Robinson lost a few fights, maybe as many as about 15 without looking it up. He's considered by many the best fighter ever.
It's not about going through your career undefeated. It's about who you fought, when in their careers you fought them, whether or not you were really tested and what you did in the face of adversity.
Obviously AJ needs to win this rematch but if he does then he's free to carry on his career without the worry of his first loss. It's happened now so nothing to worry about. It's how you react to defeat that shows how much of a great Champion you are.

put this out there.
after watching that fight, prime David Haye would have KOed Joshua
he didn't look good before he got knocked down and that was only because he connected 1st when they were both swinging, his footwork seems to have gone backwards since the wyhte fight, he's so stiff in his movements now and seems pretty obvious that so much muscle is the reason why, add to the fact having that much makes it almost impossible in most instances to recover its a recipe for disaster, look at the shape of the two guys, ruiz could have gone another 10rounds
Ruiz was walking him down. Madness tactics by AJ and McCracken.
All AJ needs to do in KO him quick in the rematch and all is ok.

I knew there was something up behind the scenes and this only heightens my suspicions. AJ's dad clearly livid with Hearn over something.

panic attack also doing the rounds lol
All bollux anyway, he lost plainly and simply because Ruiz is all wrong for him stylistically, and that will be proven again in the rematch.
(And obviously because the better man on the night won) Ruiz fked him up, there was no fluke about it, he's all wrong for AJ, AJ can't do what he usually does vs a smaller fast elusive guy like Ruiz and he won't be able to in a rematch either

Why does there have to be something else at play? Ruiz is smaller than AJ so he couldn't land his body shots with any conviction which is one of his big assets, AJ leaves himself open to being hit every single time and Ruiz's speed and elusiveness allowed him to get in and hurt him, and obviously that shot on the temple concussed AJ that was what was wrong.
Don't see how he can beat him in the rematch as it's exactly the same unless AJ can somehow box him for 12 rounds which is easier said than done, especially as it's AJ and he always puts himself into a fight at one point, but we'll see
I still think he'd be competitive vs Fury, Wilder, Whyte etc. But just don't think he'll beat Ruiz he's just too wrong for him style wise. It's basically fighting a small fury with more power and AJ hasn't got the speed or defense to handle it, he's way too muscly now as well, maybe when the AJ a few years ago that beat Whyte but now he just looks even slower, he's getting slower not faster
Ring rust doesn't help either, AJ isn't fighting regularly enough like he use too, which for someone that is pretty slow and robotic anyway that is not ideal
The main issue i have with people trying to look for something that isn't there (Hearn has even denied every fake conspiracy theory on twitter) is if you look at the Povetkin fight on the ring walk he looked nervous and didn't look right, so is that going to be the case every single fight now that we're going to say AJ wasn't right it wasn't the real AJ? Maybe the obvious thing is he's just been scared and looked nervy and was afraid of losing, and now that's why he looks so relaxed and like a weight has been taken off because he's finally lost
